Butler can return kicks?

Gosh I hope so, how great would that be? It's like when Blount was returning kicks.

Without Butler our CB depth chart gets very suspect very quickly. Are you comfortable with Rowe and J. Jones as CBs 2 and 3, both playing 30-40 snaps per game? And that assumes that everyone stays healthy.

I like Landry, but that trade would wreck our CB rotation and in exchange we'd be upgrading a position where we're already pretty strong. On most snaps where Landry was on the field, he'd be taking the place of Mitchell, which is a major upgrade but nowhere near as big a difference as downgrading from Butler to Jones in nickel formations.

I am a big fan of Eric Rowe. I think he will have a big season for us and I think he can be a number 2 corner but you can't trade butler. They can go different ways if they want a wr.

I am on the side of I think the cuts will be more surprising (shocking?) than the keeps.

If I had to guess, I think Kenny Moore is the best bet to make it. Wasn't a big fan of Travis from what little I saw, but Moore crushed it on ST which will probably be the deciding factor for that last spot. No real opinion on Bates, didn't see enough of him to form one.

I liked Travis, good tackler, could be a long term in the box safety.

There is no reason to believe that either Travis or Bates will make the team.

I agree that we are in need of STer's.

IMHO, if Belichick isn't satisfied with the veteran STer's we have (Bolden, Freeny, King, Ebner, Grissom), he'll find one from another team, as he did in signing Flowers.

Belichick didn't "SIGN" Marquis Flowers. He traded for him..
