Joe Haden Cut

Have to think he's going to a contender if it's not us prefer it's NFC

Haden has not been the corner he once was. He's been getting burnt all preseason as well. Gotta wonder if the injuries are beginning to catch up.

I seem to remember talk a few years ago, that there were legal/ behavioral issues surroundone Haden.

I don't want to accuse him of anything with no concrete knowledge, but I remember reading that somewhere.

It was on an article suggesting the Browns were trying to trade him and I remember thinking BB would want no part of that.

Does anyone else remember that or is it just me?

Really? I thought he did a good job in his last game. I think he's still a good corner in a crappy franchise. I hope he goes to the nfc. Maybe the cowgirls

From everything I understand he has no character concerns at all, it's purely money and injury issues.

Haden more than likely knows where he's going squeezing out a few more dollars I say Steelers Cowboys or Redskins.

Browns release former Pro Bowl CB Joe Haden says:
The 2010 first-round pick signed a six-year, $74.678 million deal back in 2014 but has struggled to find consistency in the years since. Haden has played in just 18 games since 2014, with three interceptions and 13 pass breakups in those two years. If Cleveland was going to make a move, this was the time to do so. As salary cap tracking site Over The Cap points out, Haden has just $4 million guaranteed on his contract for 2017.
....
Haden will not be subject to the waiver claim process and can start entertaining offers after 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
Twitter is full of casual fans thinking their team should put in a bid for Haden.

It'll be interesting if he can get more than the $11M he was going to get from CLE, especially with his recent bad run of form.

Haden had some groin issues the last couple of years. He is worth bringing in for a decent 2 year contract. He is 28 years old. Almost the same age as Butler

He won't get more, he may not get half of that.
He knew he wasn't getting that money from any team so he wants a 1 year prove it Deal.
Dallas makes the most sense when you think about he wants the most playing time with a contender.
Only way he comes here is if he's ready to fight for it or if we are planning to trade or release Butler.
More I think about it I don't see him coming here.
Just thought of the Raiders and Houston as well.

The Patriots have plenty of cap space to get this done. Haden is an outstanding player when healthy. They should sell him on the fact that it's his best shot at a ring and it's a great place to jump start a career.

I think he can still play. It's Cleveland! The browns stinks. Someone will get a nice player. It will be like when the giants acquired jenkins.

He will get back to being the player the Browns gave this big contract. Might be a good complimentary CB covering #2 or the inside, though.

Sign the beast................... to vet min.

Haden's best option here is to sign for whatever role gives him the best chance at $10M+ per year next offseason, and I don't think NE is anywhere near ideal for that because he probably wouldn't even be favored for a starting job.

He looks better when he has safety help, but he's no longer a guy that can match up man to man with some of the quicker receivers in the league. He was getting torched left and right in the Giants game when he was left on an island.
