Broncos name Siemian starting QB

Denver would have been better off keeping Brock Lobster.

The way I see things the Broncos D will carry them to a decent start and then slowly fade away when their O is exposed for not scoring enough points.

He was looking worse than Tim Tebow today, I think the Browns is his last gig on the Nfl.

Their d will not be nearly as good as it has been. Big drop off coming.
I see a 6-10 or 7-9 season.

I remember someone on NFLN saying it was definitely going to be Lynch during the weekend.

AFCW should be a fun division to watch this year.

He's going to have to play out the entire season or Kizer is going to get completely ruined behind that interior OL. He's only 21 years old and really needs a year on the bench.

I think I just heard every Broncos defender punch their lockers in frustration.

Regards,
Chris

Hey guys, they had a HoF QB in Peyton and they still have a HoF QB. It's just he's the GM picking these guys.

They won with the corpse of PM at QB. If the defense and running game are up to par they will compete for the division.

They did just barely get by though. I give Elway the benefit of the doubt because he's been a fantastic GM, but not impressed with their QB situation.

It's been 2 years since that SB, legendary defenses don't last that long, players go play elsewhere, some produce less, injuries and a lot of tape for other coaches to explore. I don't expect their defense to carry the team. They couldn't last year.

Maybe if the offense improves from last year with some balance in both sides of the ball they could get back on the winning track but right now I give the Raiders the edge to win the division.

The rumor yesterday was that if he had a decent presentation against the Giants he would be named the starter, he goes there overthrows everyone and throw a stupid pick. More, he was a stiff, nervous, bad body language, afraid of the game. He is not a rookie, has a lot of real NFL games under his belt, should be more relaxed. He's toast.

I gave up on this guy, one season wonder in Denver, I thought last year was a bad situation that wasn't entirely his fault but I have to rethink that, he's pure garbage.

Kizer did better than him but he is so raw, Cody Kessler will be their QB again.

I know some Broncos fans who are trying to spin this as being more about Siemian being unexpectedly good than Lynch being bad, but Siemian really isn't particularly good. If Lynch was even adequate, it would be his job, because Siemian isn't exactly putting up a huge roadblock at the position. He isn't one of the 25 best quarterbacks in the league.

Maybe someone else can correct me here, but wasn't Lynch always viewed as a multiple-year project? That was my understanding, and if so this really isn't on him; it would be on the Broncos for taking a multi-year project at QB as their first round pick. I'm skeptical of multi-year projects at QB in general, since I think if a guy is that far away you can't reasonably project pro success at all, but if you're going to do it at least do what the Pats did and use a later-round pick on a guy who's going to sit behind your starter for at least a couple years anyway.

on the broncos board they are comparing sieman's stats in 2016 to brady's in 2001, saying they are similar.
