Some positive Ealy news.

He was more concerned with getting to his big payday than he was with helping the team win in 2012 and 2013. He DEFINITELY could have come back in during the 2013 AFCCG. Dennard was even pleading with him to do so. But he didn't want to risk actual injury and losing out on millions.

I was upset with him(and Welker) at the time. But I don't blame him for looking out for his own interests.

He could have been hit. I don't remember.

Hit or no hit he should have caught this ball. Hell it was easier than the one in the SB.

This is the hit (by our buddy Pollard) I was talking about but I agree with you. He didn't look phased at all after that hit.

Welker always had a tiny catch radius, so if he (or Brady) were slightly off on the timing pattern, he wouldn't be able to adjust. Both drops (this and the Super Bowl) highlighted that deficiency at the worst times. Edelman and Amendola don't suffer from that problem.

The team seemed apathetic, from my memories the only player playing with energy trying to do something was the serial killer, his last game in a Patriot uniform as well.
It was also the Late Prisoner who might've cost the Pats 4 points at the end of the first half, by moronically staying in-bounds after a long completion and thereby forcing Bill to waste a time-out that could've been used to have at least one more chance for a TD. At least he was never accused of being a Mensa member.

I love coming to these threads for practice updates! Awesome stuff.

As for the clips from painful playoff losses of yesteryear.....could you all just kick me square in the nuts instead? Let's round it out with a nice picture of the helmet catch and some good political talk.

Catch radius was not the issue on that play.

Regardless with hundreds of catches and 1000s of yards and multiple All Pros, I'll take his tiny catch radius all day.

Might sound crazy but Brady deserves more Lombardi than what he already has, that 10yr drought is head scratching, a healthy Gronk in 2011/2012 has back to back titles written all over it imo, and 2010 is a underrated heartbreaker as well, statically better offensive than 2007 and is our best even tho '07 is considered to be statically

Not really. Brady played poorly or just average in his playoff losses. Plus:

10 - they barely beat the Packers without Rodgers
11 - awful defense
12 - 0-3 against BAL and SF

Where is this madness of trading Hogan coming from?

Jules. Age
DA. Age
Cooks. 2 years left on deal but looks to be staying long term
Mitchell. knees of a 46 years old man.

Folks need to see the big picture.

What looks like depth today may not be depth tomorrow.

No offense but why do you claim that Mitchell has the knees of a 46 year old man??

Mitchell tore his ACL in 13. Then he had a knee strain at the end of last year.. More than 3 years after the ACL surgery..
