This guy is ready to break out bigly.
He leaves the 19th ranked passing offense for the 2nd ranked passing offense.
2016 Bills ranked # 1 in rushing. Yes, Mcoy was these ,but Gillislee did his job.
Nearly 5.7 yards a carry.
66% success rate.
8 TDs per 100 carries.
0 fumbles
#1 ranked 2016 RB per Football Outsiders.

That Bill Belichick

All people who use the word "bigly" should be banned from this message board. In fact, they should be banned from earth.

As far as Gillislee, looks like a solid back who can do some damage. I can see him with 800+ yards and 10+ TDs. I think it'll be more run by committee, as we have Burkhead and a healthier Lewis added to the crew.

You don't.

fnord is a bigly hoot in person

BTW: agree about Gillislee

It's one of those 'you never know how you come across' because I figured I was more insufferable in person than online. I'll work to fix that.

I did post a smiley face but it didn't post.

I thought Gillislee looked sharp and tough when we played Buffalo.

And while I think he has a solid chance to contribute for the Pats, and even a 50/50 chance to be a star, I'd take Gillislee's FO rating with a grain of salt. A decent, and maybe a scintilla above average back, Bilal Powell ended up number 3 on the list that put the new Pat's back at number 1. So...

I think you might be underrating Powell's performance in limited snaps, on an offense that couldn't throw the ball.

He was pretty damned good last year.

Unfortunately this thread has gone off the rails.. , Gillislee is an interesting acquisition that might be the guy who makes this team that much better..

Always have admired the aptitude of BB for signing guys like this who have low/moderate risk and high reward.. even though he has been in the league for 3 years has only 154 carries, so comparatively speaking has fresh legs..

Gillislee(3.2 Million) and Burkhead(3.15 Million) are ranked at 27 & 28 in compensation for NFL running backs.. good value, good depth.
