I've watched this week as many posters on this board have essentially said they would be fine with getting rid of Brady to keep Garoppolo while others are basically requesting him to retire and get out of JAGs way.

When belichick benched and cut Kosar, who had nothing left, Browns fans wanted to lynch him.

How can it be that less than 4 months after Brady played the greatest SB ever by a QB (after being the best QB in the NFL all season) to win his record 5th SB fans are almost asking Belichick to dump him?

Plenty of fans root for the laundry and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Such fans damn well should put loyalty to the team over loyalty to any player.

So if they think it's better for the team in the long haul to let Brady go after a season or two rather than ride him to the end, why should they piss their pants over it the way you want them to?

Ok I know where you stand.
Thanks Tom don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

I am a big root for the laundry guy but the laundry is better off with Brady wearing it and the laundry wouldn't have the deaf it has without him.

I find your opinion ungrateful but you are entitled to it.

Thanks for responding.

False analogy. Will NOT take bait ...
Have you read the board?
The vocal minority are throwing Brady under the bus. At least it ought to be the minority, hence the question.

Kraft, Belichick and Brady are all smart enough to figure this out. I'm not the least bit worried how this would play out. I'm sure whatever decision they make would be in the best interest of the football team.

So if Brady only has one game left is the laundry better off with him? 8 games? 16 games? 32 games? Where's the line? Because there is a line somewhere, as anyone who's not a ballwasher can see.

"The team is better off with Brady, no matter what" is simple-minded, idiotic nonsense. At some point the ongoing decrease in number of games he has left will outweigh him being better than his replacement.

Nobody is throwing him under the bus we are realists simply put I'd bet my house a 26 year old Grap is the better move than a 41 year old Brady.
That's 15 years difference
Also watching this draft I saw desperate teams mortgage the future to reach for QBs that weeks prior we're said to be third round fliers, late second at best.
I think Bill saw that too which is one of the many reasons he did not trade Jimmy G
I think you need to rewatch the Arizona and Miami games it's a small sample size but he shredded two very good defenses.
Is smart has a rocket release BB said is tough like a linebacker.
Now you want to give that up to what maybe get another season or two out of Tom who is the greatest QB of all time but between his familys pull and father time you think BB wants to trade Jimmy G then watch Tom decline or decide to retire.
Then frantically look for QB?
Why would he do that when he's already on the roster under our control deeply into our system the team mates it makes no sense to trade him unless BB can say with certainty that Tom will be elite for 5 more years and keep playing regardless of his familys wishes and health?
Now which horse would you bet on if your BB?
Better yet which horse would you bet your and your staffs career and livelihood on?

Tom is the greatest of all time no question a warrior and in increidble shape but he's also whipped and has a family he loves kids to spend time with if the concussion stories happen to be true better reason yet to bow out.
If he doesn't trade him to any team of his liking for fair compensation Tom has earned the right to control his destiny and career if he wishes to still pursue one in the NFL in the future.

If you remember his diatribe during the deflategate saga, you'd know his mentality toward Brady. It's probably why he name changed. Pretty disgraceful.

TB12 is a once in a lifetime QB. And even describing him that way seems to be a understatement.

The smart business model is to move on to JAG. But when it comes to Brady, fuuuuuuuck the smart business model. You let it ride to the bitter end. This is all-time ****, not Kosar. Hell, it's not even Favre.

In short, I agree with Mr Andy Johnson.

That information is not available until after the fact. You can make a decision based upon what you do not know.

At this point you have to base it on:
Brady is ridiculously durable
Brady takes care of himself better than any QB ever has
Brady is at it near the top of his game
Brady has shown no signs of diminished skill.

On the other hand garoppolo has shown he may be less durable and has not proven he can play at anywhere near the GOAT level if Tom Brady.

The chance of JAG being mediocre or even just not good enough to win rings is greater than the chance of Brady declining so much that he is mediocre or not good enough to win rings.

There will come a time when Brady's skills will erode, to the point he will need to be replaced.

Nobody knows when that day will come; right now it is pure speculation.

If Brady does not recognize it when that day arrives, Belichick will pull him aside and let him know. The end of Tedy Brushi's career would be a good comparable.

In the meantime, based on Brady's performance in the most reason, he is still the better choice for the 2017 season. One can debate on what the best long term plan may be, but I do not see how there is even a question on what is best for this upcoming season.

In other words, you're too gutless to answer the question. Unsurprising.

There's not a single person here who doesn't think Brady should be The Guy for 2017.

Brady is going to be 40 soon 41 next year, if Jimmys it then Brady has to go for the long term success of this team, if he can keep this train rolling then you know what move has to be made, franchise qbs don't grow on trees

Nobody is throwing him under the bus we are realists simply put I'd bet my house a 26 year old Grap is the better move than a 41 year old Brady.
That is extremely unlikely. The only way is if Brady suddenly loses it.
Without injury it's almost impossible.

That's 15 years difference
Much less than the difference in talent.

Why then would you mortgage your present for an unproven player?

I think you need to rewatch the Arizona and Miami games it's a small sample size but he shredded two very good defenses.
He did not SHRED Arizona. He shredded miami for a quarter.
They were not good defenses in fact Miami set a franchise record for worst yardage allowed.

That 1 1/2 games in the hour glass of Tom Brady's GOAT career is a single grain of sand.

Is smart has a rocket release BB said is tough like a linebacker.

As I have said the team is more likely to win more SBs with 2 years of Brady and whoever follows than in garoppolos career.
You argue as if we will have to play without a QB if JAG is traded. BB will find another, and he may be better than JAG.

Then frantically look for QB?
Why would he do that when he's already on the roster under our control deeply into our system the team mates it makes no sense to trade him unless BB can say with certainty that Tom will be elite for 5 more years and keep playing regardless of his familys wishes and health?
I know what Brady is.
I do not know what JAG is.
There is a chasm 100 miles wide between Brady and the chance JAG could be anywhere close.

Now which horse would you bet on if your BB?
I go with Brady until Brady can no longer go.

Better yet which horse would you bet your and your staffs career and livelihood on?
Brady without a second thought.

Tom is the greatest of all time no question a warrior and in increidble shape but he's also whipped and has a family he loves kids to spend time with if the concussion stories happen to be true better reason yet to bow out.
Thanks for eliminating yourself from the list of people I take seriously.

If he doesn't trade him to any team of his liking for fair compensation Tom has earned the right to control his destiny and career if he wishes to still pursue one in the NFL in the future.
I'll chalk you up as one who respects Brady less than browns fans respected Kosar.
