Panthers pick is a little bizarre.

Wow. Jets taking Pats target. Two of favourite players.
Something moving in the right direction there.
At least until they enter the building..

I don't get the Jets getting another safety. I get BPA but the Jets have big needs all over the roster. Are they really in a position to double dip at a spot?

Hey've ust added a bunch of leadership. No bad thing on that team.

Jets doing things right....unfortunately.
Not sure team with out any talent drafting safeties with their first 2 picks is doing things right.

They will need both of them just to try and cover the Gronk

Are the Panthers going to have enough footballs to go around

I hate to say it, but I like the Jets' picks so far. I think Adams and Maye are both really good, they address a position of need for the Jets, and you could make a compelling case that they addressed their single biggest need while simultaneously getting BPA on both picks. I think these guys will be a huge boost to the middle of their defense in the years to come, and no matter what they did they weren't going to compete this year so I don't think it's a problem that they haven't addressed their offensive shortcomings yet.

I'd be thrilled with these picks if I was a Jets fan. The only bummer in this would be that this suggests the Jets aren't anticipating getting a lot from Gilchrist or Pryor in the future, maybe not from either one of them. Which is bad news, but doesn't make these bad picks. I liked Pryor a lot coming out, but he hasn't performed so far in his career. If the Jets think that's not going to change, I think moving forward with the assumption he isn't giving you anything is the right call, rather than chasing losses and hoping for the best. And Gilchrist was good last year, but with his injury I think it's defensible to move forward without assuming anything for his future production. Plus there's always the possibility that they want to run a lot of three safety nickel packages, in which case there's a lot of value in having three starter-caliber safeties anyway. That's why the Pats paid Harmon.
