I'm not ready to go that far to say he sucks. He was hurt all of last year. A cheap short term deal isn't going to kill us. Bring him in and see what he has, he's going to be running behind a better line with less in the box than what he was used to in minny

As much as I enjoy the fact of dreaming about AP being on the Patriots (the AP of 5 years ago), we have RB's that have proven they belong on the roster (White, Lewis). Plus, all the injuries are a factor, and he's not really adept in catching the ball out of the backfield. Not as much as White and Lewis.

They tried running a shotgun offense in Minnesota and had to adjust the scheme because AP couldn't adjust to it. Would be a huge learning curve.

I mean say what you want about Rice but that was, I believe, a one-time incident and he offered to donate 100% of his salary to domestic abuse charities.

He's pretty darn good.. he was injured last year, but 2015 he had 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns.. and that was on a team that had no semblance of an offense whatsoever and teams stacked 8-9 in the box against him, knowing the run was coming

Putting his off the field stuff aside for a second and only looking at his football talent... he would make Brady's playaction game so incredibly effective it would be insane... especially with a Hogan or Floyd on the roster

He regularly breaks tackle(s) throughout the game... he's tremendously difficult to get to the ground, he has insane change of direction and burst speed for a man his size... his top speed is up there with most safeties.. he finishes runs by punishing people... he can legit score from anywhere on the field on any given play

Regardless of what you think of him as a person, AP is one of the greatest RBs ever.. and he's literally carried that team on his back for most of his career

AP is the definition of beast mode.. I've watched him closely over the last 6-7 years because he's been a keeper on my fantasy team too haha.. so I guess I could go on ESPN as an expert

I didn't watch or see what he did to his kid.. but something about the kids testicles? Child abuser?? You want a child abuser on the team you root for?

To be fair I didn't read a lot about it, I just heard enough to make me not like the guy and if I was him I would be ashamed of myself.

There are three schools of thought:

2. Peterson is great but you don't want to root for somebody who beats his children.

3. Peterson is done, we can get an RB who will be equally as productive for cheaper, or through the draft, in which case his off-field behavior is a moot point.

1 vs 2 is a moral question for you (and I don't think anyone on this board should argue with anyone else on what side they come down on, it's a personal decision for each of us what kind of fan we want to be. For example I was fine with Floyd coming here but understand someone who would have had a problem with it).

1 vs 3 is a normal football question that you can have with any player, for example Jamaal Charles.

That's the problem, fantasy people love Peterson....and remind me where he carried Minn on his back? Haven't they been a bad to average team his entire career?

Peterson is one of the greatest examples of a fantasy football/espn superstar.... He puts up big #s, has some highlight reel runs that play on ESPN all day, and some people think he's awesome... Remind how he's done against the Pats?

Floyds issues can be corrected and in the end he was only detrimental to himself. How many of you drove **** faced from the ages of 17-25 years old. I am guessing the lot of ya.

Peterson, when I see him on camera I sort of cringe. From the little I heard he is not affected from his actions. Because most likely in his mind he did nothing wrong. HE is a ****in *******. A true *******.

Not really no.. If I were Kraft, I wouldn't consider signing him unless he sat down and right to my face told me what a pile of **** he was for doing what he did.. I would just grill him with tough questions, with absolutely no ********.. make him spill his guts out about all of that, what he's done to better his son's life and his relationship with him, etc.. I would watch him intently and listen to every word, then I would ask myself if thought he meant what he said and that he is truly on a path of redemption

Then I would get the input from my team leaders/captains like Brady, McCourty, Slater, etc.. and see if they think that he deserves to have a shot in that locker room, how they felt about it and if they thought it could work..

If it got passed all of that, I would sign him on the condition that he has a contractual commitment to be involved on some level with a domestic abuse program/charity.. and I would be looking for and expect him to go beyond that contractual obligation

So basically, its a long shot for him to be a Patriot.. and I like others would have to compartmentalize, especially if I thought that AP wasn't really remorseful for what he did... but I don't think we'd have to worry about a scenario like that, because he wouldn't be on the team without being heavily vetted ahead of time.. they understand negative PR more than any other team



I was merely pointing out that, from a football standpoint, he's an absolute monster of a RB
