Adam Schefter: Patriots want minimum of 1st and 4th round picks for QB Jimmy Garoppolo

I feel the brown's are gonna trade for jimmy G but i would ask for more. Give me the 65th pick in the draft as well.

It's common sense: like it or not (hello haters), the demand is going to be dramatically higher than the supply, for the most important position in football that is consistently drafted in top 1st round by the teams in need. It may not result in a ridiculous RGIII-like ransom, but the compensation should still be very high (maybe high enough to make BB accept to let a capable starter go).

look at it this way......QB's stand to be 2 of the top 3 picks (9ers and Bears) with Trubisky and Kizer

this sets the bar with Garoppolo being worth AT LEAST one of those picks PLUS a 3rd or 4th.......and you can look at that both ways.......if all you are getting at #2 or #3, then the value of those picks is somewhat suspect......

Garoppolo with a cheap year still ahead is worth more than anyone available in the draft

I still feel the brown's are the logical choice. Give me the eagles pick and the 65th pick in the draft.

I've got to say.. you have to include wherever McDaniels ends up.

Whether that be SF w/ Caserio or in Jax..

Both are great landing spots for him too

nothing but glorified hand-offs.......the lowest yards per completion in the league
That is fine and I agree. I was just saying setting a record (previously held by Brees) is not a bad accomplishment.

If it gets the Pats the 12th pick in the draft, sign me up.

sorry......sellers market for someone like garoppolo

otherwise, why help another team get better? Reuben Foster? Garoppolo is worth a f*ck of a ton more than that

By the way, Schefter is right (and he usually is about everything) on Jimmy Garoppolo. Pats would get a first for him--minimum.

I really like JG and there's tremendous value in keeping him but if we could get a mid #1 value I would do it especially as this is a nice, strong draft.

2 first rounders!

**** you roger! and bob kraft...two lifeless scumbags

I don't care what the Pats are saying when the season ends. I think their goal is to trade him for as much as possible. I'd be shocked if he was on the roster in 2017

I don't want Garoppolo in the AFC

I really don't care as long as the Pats get great value.

First, we have no idea if Garoppolo is even going to be a good never mind great starter. People are assuming way too much with this guy. He has a high ceiling, but also a low floor.

Second, we are seeing with Andrew Luck that a poor organization can destroy a quality QB (David Carr comes to mind too or even the Pats with Tony Eason who looked to be turning into a decent QB until he got shell shocked one season). Luck has progressively gotten worse over the years after a strong first few years. This may statistically be one of his better years, but he has been really uneven if you actually watched him play.
