Are teams (minus a few like the Ravens) really scared to face us?

If so, I find that absolute pathetic and makes me sick that grown men and professionals are scared to face us and basically play us knowing they probably will lose.

Man up and do your fuc*ing job. Don't be a ****y and be scared to face the big bad Patriots. No wonder team's play is so awful against us. As much as I hate Baltimore, at least they are fricken playing and not "scared".

Well if you didn't make up that these players thought things they don't you might feel differently.

What was Ian's rule again about starting threads? That they had to make sense and have a point, right? Well this doesn't appear to qualify for either...
I think there's a point, whether it makes sense is another story ;)

Anyone who says NFL players are scared of the patriots is someone whose opinion you should ignore.

Does that include Demaryius Thomas?
"I think one thing is guys kind of look over the Colts. We had guys talking, the night before the game, 'I don't want to go to New England and play New England.' I think that was one of the big things."

Demaryius: Broncos looked past Colts

I think there's a little more of this around the league than one might think. Remember the Cardinals giving up in the 1st quarter of a snowstorm in New England in 2008?

The Ravens clearly haven't been filled with those types of players and coaches, historically.

We know, with 100% certainty, that Denver is scared ****less of NE when healthy. DT came out and stated this fact publicly.

Well I remember the days when when teams not only weren't scared to face us they actually couldn't wait to play the "Patsies"!

Scared? Not necessarily. Sometimes I think lesser teams and poorly coached teams have a feeling of inevitability before a game.

I think it's almost the opposite. We are the Super Bowl for most teams. You want to prove yourself in the NFL? Beat the Patriots. It's been that way since 2004.

Well, judging from a few posts in this thread: Maybe there is some truth to the claim though?

I see a lot of people mocking you so I am not sure what "few posts" are even addressing the actual issue.

Perhaps you are referencing what DT said which is more along the lines of a player not wanting to face a certain team because they are a bad matchup or especially good at home, or maybe have the GOAT QB.

I assume you have never played competitive sports? If you have and understood what it takes to make it as an elite athlete playing in the NFL you would understand that to get to that level you never had an ounce of fear ever in your career.

I doubt they're scared in the sense of the Pats physicality, probably more getting their egos crushed. Outside of a few players, Pats haven't really been a physically imposing team in a while. Bet back in the day Marv Harrison probably shat his pants on several occasions when thinking about guys like Ty, Lawyer, and Rodney getting after him though.
