Oh stop it. Blind homerism at its finest, folks.

Homerism? How so? I like Carr but when I hear the Rodgers comparisons it's pathetic. Thankfully I don't hear the Brady comparison. Yet. He's gonna be good as in average to above average QB play, not elite. Call that homersism if you shall, I call it spot on analysis.

come on man. carr is a good looking kid. i like his game. he's gonna be a good one.

See above.

One of the biggest hose jobs I have ever seen. Everyone still gets hung up on that dropped punt by Harper but the continuous OPI calls on Gronk and that complete absurd "DPI" on Chung at the end really turned the game around.

In fact, that DPI call on Chung might very well be part of the reason Osweiler is now sitting on this monster contract.

My three takeaways:

1. Houston is much improved from when we saw them, on both sides of the ball.
2. That said, they'd be even better if Suckweiler wasn't hurriedly calling for the snap every down with :02 left on the play clock.
3. End of the game...

Mother F***ing N F***ing L!!!!

This Saturday, in the confessional... "bless me, Father, for I have sinned... I swore at the NFL..." "my son, I saw the game. That's no sin."

Then I don't know what you're watching lol

I actually watched this game (resisted the temptation to turn it off when they showed Fraudger's smug mug) and I am glad I did. If Oakland is our best competition in the AFC, I am liking our chances in the playoffs. They were not scary at all. Oh, and Bill O'Brien did get screwed on the spot (twice) on that 3rd down at the end of the game, but why the hell did he go for it there in a tie game? Curious tactics my dear Watson.

Guess it's critical for the NFL to pump up the Raiders right now, with a stadium in Vegas on the line, eh?

Here's the big difference tonight. Jack Del Rio plays to win. Bill O'Brien plays not to lose.
Didn't Obrien go for a 4th down in a tie game in easy FG range? That sounds like playing to win. Its not 'playing not to lose' to have a suck-ass defense that cant cover anyone and allows something like 5-6-150 in the 4th quarter

The Raiders have the Tie Breakers over us? What ever it doesn't matter I bet Buffalo beats them, I bet Denver at home beats them. KC could beat them.
CURRENTLY have the tiebreakers, and the chances that the one it comes down to now is the one that decides, and stays the same (it is strength of victory) is about 1,000,000 to 1.
Its like saying you have a head to head over someone you beat once and play again. An incomplete tiebreaker only matters if the league ends today.

Wasn't sure who I wanted to win this game. When Houston got screwed on the measurement, I pulled for them. Then stupid idiot BOB decided to punt with 3 minutes and 1 timeout left (hard to believe this guy coached under BB). At that point it became harder to sympathize for them.

Glass half empty: Raiders will keep the Patriots on their toes for the #1 seed for a little while longer. Glass half full: this result annoys Broncos fans the most!
I think BB punts in that situation. But I also think BB challenges the FIRST bad spot, and if not at least kicks the FG to take the lead.

Haha, no.

NFL VP defends officiating amid public clamor

"He's going to go into the defender, use his forearm to push off, extend his arm and create separation," Blandino said. "This is a foul for offensive pass interference. Whether he uses the forearm or an open hand, the key is the extension, the extended arm into the defensive player to create that separation."

Anybody who calls these missed calls is a blatant homer. The Broncos deserved that win, and they were clearly the better team last year. Stop crying and move on, there were both correct calls.

Yes, but why not take the FG there? That puts more pressure on the other team. Instead the momentum took a big swing the other way.

Not saying he was correct just disputing he was playing not to lose.

Here's the big difference tonight. Jack Del Rio plays to win. Bill O'Brien plays not to lose.

The big difference was that the officials did not take away a touchdown from the Raiders, and did not mis-spot two consecutive runs of theirs while they were trying to come back and win the game.

Now, because the officials changed the likely outcome of that game, we're stuck hearing about how awesome the Raiders supposedly are, right now, when they were gifted a game in which they were absolutely dominated.

They were essentially on the same level as our 2nd and 3rd stringers, beating our practice squad in OT and then by 2 points as a result of a missed XP.

Since Denver isn't very good this year, whose bandwagon will you be jumping on in hopes that they defeat NE? Oakland?

With that said, this call - unlike those calls against the Broncos last year - was blatant cheating. I mean, that's clearly irrefutable evidence on the video, and you don't change the call? Only one explanation remains.
