We traded Collins. One game after the trade what are your thoughts?

Seattle looked amazing today so props to them and even though with Collins our D wasn't great, but I can't find myself agreeing with BB on trading him. It certainly didn't help our team and onegame later made our defense worse.

I don't think he changes the outcome here. I don't like the move, but this defense is bad at every level. Collins doesn't change that

Linebacker play is the least of our defense's issues. Weird schemes, bad DL play, and costly lapses in the secondary are the problem.

Collins wouldn't change the fact that every DB seems to be sitting in zone 5 yards from the guy who catches the ball.

Utter tripe. 1 game's results mean nothing. Check in at the end of the year and then we'll all have a better handle on things.

I'm wondering about the scheme, as well. But perhaps it's just due to the lack of talent to play man.

Two things that are killing this defense: lack of pass rush, and lack of capable CB's behind Butler. Cyrus Jones lack of development has screwed us big time.

My thoughts are to keep Jimmy G just in case. Don't trade him in the offseason for a 1rst round pick that will either be a bust or be solid but get traded away for crap.

Another thought that came to mind is that our defense is very beatable. Ben will kill us. Siemian will with hsi receivers. KC will crap on it. Man, you need talent on d. I don't care how good of a coach you are. This NFL is loaded with outstanding receivers and the qb play is better than it was 10 years ago.

Chandler Jones is a bigger miss than Jamie Collins.

People underrated how much Jones presence helped others (Like Sheard) get sacks.

People didn't respect Jones and it's pretty clear he's badly missed now if you watch this pathetic lack of pass rush.

the move nobody is talking about is the chandler jones trade the pats have a total of 16 sacks Jones has 7 and I think just as many QB hits as the whole pats defense, pats pretty much got noting in the trade and replaced him with should have retired two years ago Chris Long and replaced Collins with below average Elandon Roberts

1. Huge decline in the champion defense without Revis, Chandler Jones, and Collins

2. This defense can't stop anybody. It might have been 2nd in pts allowed with Collins but is now horrible without Collins. Without Collins' pass coverage or blitzing it's a chain reaction where the secondary is exposed.

3. Still think it was not a good move to trade Collins. Would have gotten a compensatory 3rd rd pick if they kept Collins all yr then let him walk.
