Name a top 10 WR in the NFL who would thrive in Brady's system and why?

Kamar Aiken played 1 game with the patriots. You might have him mixed up with Sam Aiken

Only one game, but was on the team for half a season and got cut the following training camp.

I never understood the premise that top 10 WRs can't cut it here. How many top 10 WRs have we had come through here and not make an impact that were below the age of 32? This is one of those weird PatsFans feelings that don't exist in the real world. Good players tend to do even better on our team, assuming we get them before their previous team has ran them into the ground.

Not sure how he fits into a discussion about top WRs who couldn't make it here.
He has3 receptions this year and is more a roster bubble guy than a star receiver.

Don't know if he's considered a "top-10" WR, but I still sh!t a chicken every time I think of Bill
by-passing the Charlie Weis-trained Golden Tate in favor of Germy Cunnyham in 2010.

I realize that they have a lot of cap space devoted in that one position, but Detroit's WR trio of Tate,
Marvin Jones & Anquan Boldin would absolutely succeed here, if Brady gets the time to find them.

The discussion was about guys who got bounced here that went on to have success elsewhere.

He went for 75 catches and 950 yards last year.

So, he counts in that discussion.

It's a bit weird reading a thread like this not being in that state of desperation where wishfull thinking can really take off.

I really really like our WR group. Edelman, Dola, Mitchell and Hogan. They just fit the system so well. Especially when you put them together with Gronk and Bennett.

I would obviously love Fitz, Brown, Hopkins ect, but at the same time I'm more than happy the WR's we have and not least the cap numbers they come with. So the other teams can keep their superstars, I'll take TB with cheaper quality weapons that fit the system :)

Bit wasnt that just because they had no left to throw to? Let me ask you this: would you cut any WR on the patriots roster to add kamar Aiken?

This year, no. Last year, we could have used production like that.

We aren't actually on opposite sides on this. Aiken is about the only guy in 15 years that went on to even a small success afterwards beyond what they experienced here.

Bill is going to be right about a player almost every time, and Kamar Aiken doesn't change that mindset in the slightest.

Random question, was welker considered a top ten WR when he was here?

also on a slightly different but related note

i think malcolm mitchell might wind up being very good. he catches balls thrown at him and has good open field instincts. definitely keeping an eye on that kid this season i hope he gets some looks from brady

this is the best offensive unit since 2007. they put a lot of points on the board in 2010 but this is a more talented squad

edelman, amendola, hogan, and mitchell with bennett and gronk at TE is pretty fn lethal

I don't think he was wrong about Aiken
