Which one or two of these three finally gets axed at the end of the season? I know it's only been one week of the NFL season, but Cincinnati will likely make their obligatory one and done appearance in the playoffs, Fisher just sucks and so does Caldwell who, frankly, I'm surprised is still an NFL head coach. Both those teams will likely miss the playoffs altogether. One or two just have to go...if not all three. This has to be the year for it to happen.

I think Fisher is safe. That guy just seems to be so well respected for some stupid reason. But Cinci's patience has got to be wearing thin with Lewis by now, no? And even the bottom feeding Lions have to realize Caldwell is a fraud after this season, right?

If Lewis still has his job after all these years of playoff failure, I don't see it happening now. But I haven't been paying too much attention to the situation. Is he finally on the hot seat?

I think Caldwell is the most likely option.

Hard to say about Caldwell. He'd have been my obvious choice prior to their strong week one road performance yesterday.

I agree with you about Fisher and I even think that Lewis is safe, to be honest with you. While both of them have been underwhelming, they can at least say that they are building something and making some progress. Fisher was handed the keys to a broken down jalopy, and Lewis has brought his team from wild card contenders to division winners. Come to think of it, had Andy Dalton not gone down last season, it's possible that they would've gone fairly deep into the postseason. They almost pulled off the upset vs. PIT even with their backup quarterback.

1. Lewis is year-to-year with extensions, basically always on a 2 year contract, in recent years
   
2. Fisher and the Rams are talking extension
3. Bob Quinn did everything except drop to his knees and unzip Caldwell's pants, when asked about keeping him, earlier this year

So, if I were going to rank them from safest to least safe, I'd probably go:

Caldwell
Fisher
Lewis


It's noteworthy that the Rams and Fisher have supporsedly been working on the extension since January or February, though.

Rex would make a great coordinator again because it doesn't involve talking to the media. He is a good x's and o's guy, but beyond that he is a liability.

No people just always expect Lewis to be fired. Give Lewis credit though, he has been much more successful than Fisher, Fisher just has the fact that he went to a super bowl

Man, I can't disagree with this when two of your players, one very good one, miss the team bus on the first weekend of the season. Like, what the hell else could you possibly have been doing or thinking about?

I think Marvin Lewis is alot safer than Fisher who haven't done jack $h!t!

Fisher and Lewis will never be fired, so Caldwell by default. I think Caldwell deserves another season even though the eye test doesn't look good, his record is good on paper. Deserved one more season.

Hey annoys me the most because people in football always talk about and treat him with so much reverence, and I have no idea why. One SB over a decade ago? One playoff appearance since? C'mon.

I think Fisher is on some kind of stupifying drug; he'll be lucky to hit his always cherished goal of 8-8 this season. Both Jones and Caldwell work for owners who don't prioritize winning so chances are they'll be back. I think all three will be back next year.

If the Rams poop on their own logo in front of their new fans like they did in San Francisco, the ownership may well suddenly wake up to the fact that Jeff Fisher is one hellaciously awful NFL coach. That display last night was excruciating. The Rams strength was supposed to be their invincible DL, which got shredded by the 49ers. Their offense made the Jets look dynamic. This team is in BIG trouble in my opinion.
