My theory for that "urban legend" that Steeler fans are "well-traveled" is that there is nothing to do in Pittsburgh, so why stay there? Might as well travel with the team.

My theory on Steeler fans "travelling well":

The heart of the US steel industry was Pittsburgh. Once the US steel industry went down the tubes, there was a mass exodus from western Pennsylvania. This happened to coincide with the Steeler football team suddenly becoming a juggernaut after 40 years of abysmal performance.

Those relocated fans kept their allegiance since the Steelers were suddenly winning, and they passed it on to their children. Had the downfall of the steel industry happened ten years earlier (or never happened at all), the phenomenon of Steeler fans being everywhere would have never happened. Similarly, if the Steelers had taken the typical NFL team trajectory of up-then-down rather than being very competitive for an extremely long time, then once again you would not be hearing about how the Steelers 'travel so well'.

In my opinion it is not Pittsburgh fans travelling, it is stadiums filled with Steeler fans who moved out of Pittsburgh a very long time ago.

They are playing him solely on the left side, their CBS don't switch sides, so Brown just lives up in the other side.

It will probably be Steelers vs Pats but Denver has the chance to play spoiler cause a great D alone can upset anyone.

Not worried about any other teams. KC, Bengals, Ravens, Oakland, Houston, Indy will likely be in the mix but i don't see any as likely spoilers.
