Curran: Could Patriots take flyer on Weddle, Foster?
There is a secret team on Weddle. All aboard the new false hope train: Eric Weddle to NE tomorrow.
From Calvin to McClain to Rishard to Streater to Weddle, my optimism will not waver!
Weddle's going to Pittsburg man.if the can add weddle to the mix that would be sweet...tomorrow might be a wonderful day!!
Quick point.
As of right now we have about 70 million in cap space for 2017. Cutting Amendola by 2017 gets us to about 80 million.
There is almost no chance we lose the big 3 as well as Sheard if we want to pay market value.
If that is the case, it means they'll be a ton of holes in the roster. Need to fill them. Adding an unnecessary high priced safety doesn't help the situation.
I dont think signing Long to say a 2 year 7 millions heavily Up front contract stops us from signing High Collins or the Butler.I'd just rather them lock up those key stars we have on D before adding potential expensive FAs we don't need. We NEED Butler, Hightower, and Collins.
I'd prefer he stayed inside the AFC West and went to the Raiders. Their D will be interesting this season.Weddle's going to Pittsburg man.
Weddle's going to Pittsburg man.
If we sign Long then Chandler is trade bait
That's what happens when Brady/Gronk/Edelman/Lewis are all signed on severely undervalued contracts.
Presumably some players have contracts that are active in 2016 but not 2017.
Most teams who lose their top two receiving options suffer, never mind top 3 (Lewis) ....most probably wouldn't make the conference championship.
All reports have suggested his recovery has gone well and no surgery
