Mike Reiss got back to me about Streater. He is headed to NY to meet with the Jets!

Welp. Either they didn't agree on money or fit, or maybe he's still not healthy.

Yep he's gone. Jets sign everyone who comes through the door. Which is dangerous because the Jets get negotiate with players that aren't free agents. Hope they don't invite Tom in for lunch sometime.

Yea, I don't see that, TFB hates the Jokes!

Looks like I have to give up on my Streat dreams

Nas Reference
Streat dreams are made of these Rod signing to the Jets for 500 more Gs who am I to disagree every Pats fans looking for Someone to stretch a D.

Damn, Streaters long gone. Oh well, Harvin's still out there. I would take Johnson too.

Bet Streater bolts it when he learns the Jets QB is still Gee-no.

Us older farts who had cell phones the size of milk cartons would say its an Eurythmics reference.

Give Anquan Boldin a try. Probably get him for low $$.

king percy will eventually join. Bill loves him

will finally flourish with a real coach/qb. not hacks like rex ryan and pete " cheerleader " carrol.

both are 84 years old with nothing left in the tank.

They both still have something to offer.

Colston is younger, quicker, bigger and plays the slot better than Boldin.

Feels like we are entering that stage of free agency where the market is starting to settle... BB will probably go scoop up some value deals in the next couple of days.

I think Boldin is still a good signing. I wouldn't be against rolling the dice with Harvin either.

Interesting news on Weddle.. From Ian Rappaport:

Ian Rapoport

? ?@RapSheet

What's on tap for Eric Weddle? He has offers from 4 teams. He'll evaluate the city, roster, schools, levels of the deal & respond Monday.

More on Eric Weddle: He, his agent & his family will decide on 2 teams. Negotiates will move forward & when a deal is reached, he'll decide.

Here is one I have not seen mentioned. Chris Givens. Was taken in 2012 just after Josh left but he must have seen the scouting reports. He is fast and supposedly just a go route runner. He was traded to the Ravens who promptly lost their QB Flacco and at the end had Mallet throwing to him. Only 20 receptions last year in a mid season trade. But 13 of them were for first downs. He is big at 6' and 203lbs.

He had one more TD than Sanu and at 20 catches in a complete new system mid year versus 33 for Sanu and how many did Streater have again? Should be less $ than Hogan and Streater.

Game breaking? Maybe. A career 16.6 YPC. His best year was 2010 with 42 catches and 25 for first downs. He has never played with a decent QB. Who knows?

Austin Davis? Are you kidding me?

Ryan Mallett?

Would the ravens be interested in trading him?somehow I doubt it

Figured I would throw out some names still on the board besides the aforementioned Boldin and Harvin...

1. Kamar Aiken - I know, he was already here and didn't make it but he blossomed in Baltimore. He's another RFA. He looked pretty damn good last season when he was basically the only threat in the passing game (catching passes from Ryan Mallett no less...) Wonder what it would cost to get him from Baltimore. And if they match, they're paying more for him. Just a thought, don't think it'll happen though.

2. Andre Holmes - Another ex-Pat, but still worth looking into. I haven't really heard much about him on Twitter so I don't think his market is too hot. He's got the size and speed you want... One year deal?

3. James Jones - He's not particularly fast but he seems to have a penchant for catching TDs. He's a pretty big receiver kind of in the mold of a Boldin but younger. I think he would be cheap also.

4. Terelle Pryor - He's got the size and speed for sure, just wonder about the fit. They've had him in for workouts already so they know what he is.

5. Nate Washington - He's getting oldish (32) but I've always respected this guy's game. I would welcome him here on a one year low money deal for sure.

6. Riley Cooper - he's white, so...

7. Joshua Bellamy - 6'0", 205 pounds, 4.4 forty. Has kicked around the league a while without sticking. Might be worth a cheap signing.

A couple other names to watch - Marques Colston, Marc Mariani, Leonard Hankerson, Jeremy Kerley, Jaron Brown.
