The Browns don't have a trophy to desecrate.

The Browns were a Dynasty.

Say the pats sign him and give up a third rounder to get him. If he gets caught doing anything he could be out of the league indefinitely. Sure, he's electric, but there's a ton of risk signing him too.

Lot of people on here saying why would the Browns wasn't to get rid of him. Why wouldn't they want to? Yeah the guy is talented young WR but does a new coaching staff looking to start fresh want someone on his roster who does not want to be there? Not only does the player not want to be there but as we all know is one infraction of getting suspended for the year. If I personally were a new HC of a team I would want guys on my roster who want to be there who want to help turn a dysfunctional organization around. Now lets be clear, I don't think the Pats make a move for him, but if they were going to I wouldn't give up more then a 4th rounder.

if you wouldn't send a late-round 2nd pick for JOSH GORDON you're out of your god damn mind.

dude was posting 200 yard games with BRIAN HOYER at QB. this is Randy Moss part 2, and would give the offense badly needed depth down the field. I know it won't happen but it would be the best Patriots trade since Moss.

That was how many years ago?

The last games he played under Hoyer he was not even able to run his routes correctly. I will not pay a second round pick for his potential.

Josh Gordon is a train wreck, but a great receiver can you imagine how much he will demand after Sanu's $7 million per year..

Not sure I would take this risk.. it also seems out of character for this team to do so.

In the past the Pats have taken risks on questionable players. Some have worked out. Some have not.

$7m AAV for Sanu is irresponsible.

Especially when he is a shot of Wild Turkey away from a lifetime ban

Exactly id rather give up a third for Gordon move him above a bar for the season, then pay sanu elite numbers and expect anything more than a jag to show up on sundays

When you say late round...you would not send two 6th rounders? One this year one the next?

A 3rd is too high IMO out of the gate. He's one strike way from a lifetime ban. Maybe start with a 6th or 5th and if he kicks ass in 2016 it becomes a 4th or perhaps a 3rd

Jimmy G for Gordon and Cleveland 2016 2nd round pick

It's stupid that the NFL Championships before the SB are completely discounted by today's fans.

Edit... I reread your post.. He was talking about late second rounder.. So im pretty sure you are being sarcastic...so my post is no longer directed at you.

Of course i would but this is just fantasy land nonsense. If all it took was two late six rounders to get gordon.. Then he wouldnt be on the browns anymore.. There are 30 other teams, im sure over half of them would do that. the league ruled he is still under his rookie contract for two more years.. Which will be appealed im sure. But for two years he making like less than a million a year.. So i would think the browns are asking for a second.. And maybe take a third maybe not.. They might not even want to trade him.

Not sure if Gordon fits the kind of receiver belichick is looking for. He likes the smaller shifty types rather than the big guys who can catch jump balls.
