Every year, the rest of the league goes nuts and overspends on the first day of free agency. Meanwhile BB is out in Tuscaloosa checking out his farm system.

This off season will be a success if the Pats can just resign Jones, Hightower, Collins and Butler, anything additional to that would be gravy.

It'll be interesting to see what Forte ends up getting from the Jets, because the only way it was going to be with the Pats was if he accepted a pretty huge discount. Ivory and Martin have set a value for the RB market that I'd only even consider paying for Lamar Miller.

If Forte's up in the $5M range, I'd rather take a flyer on someone else's castoff like we usually do.

Looks like Miller got 4/26 w/ 14 million guaranteed. I wouldn't have a huge problem paying CJA 5-6 million.

That would be an unmitigated failure. We'd have a worse WR corp and a far worse RB group than we did in 2013.

We still need a starting-caliber LG, a legitimate Swing Tackle, a Move TE, and RBs to replace the ineffective Blunt & the PUP-body Lewis.

If you're listing Blount as a problem area from last year, you weren't watching the games. That OL was garbage, and that may be an insult to garbage.

I read that it is likely that Akeim Hicks will sign with Bears, but nothing set in stone as of now.

Osemele is a Raider, Rodgers is bad, Schofield is a back-of-the-roster replacement guy. Otherwise I'd be happy with Kearse, Boldin, Miller, and Hicks. They could use a real linebacker too.

Nowhere to play a real LB. Best they could get is about 10-15 snaps a game. What LB would come here to sit on the bench and watch Hightower and Collins play?

7 million is the "new" 5 million with the salary cap increase, not sure why people are so shocked.

The concerning thing is, I haven't even really heard anything patriots related in regards to us being interested in a player or having them come for visits.

Add this with us not having a 1st round pick I'm pretty shocked.
