He's trying real hard to get out of there ... can't blame him for that.
Showed up to practice gassed ........

Johnny Manziel reportedly ‘inebriated’ at Browns practice
The troubled quarterback showed up “disheveled and inebriated” at the Browns’ facility at some point last week, Tony Grossi reported during the Browns’ postgame show on ESPN Radio’s Cleveland affiliate Sunday. Grossi, who covered the Browns for years for the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, said on the show that he asked Mike Pettine if he could confirm what he had been hearing; that Manziel was “inebriated” at practice on Tuesday.

Upon learning of this latest Manboyziel escapade, the always circumspect Roger Goodell, Omissioner of all he surveys, earmarked another 10 million dollars of the owners money to fight on in his quest to finally destroy his arch nemesis, Moby Brady.

Meanwhile, up in Barfalo, another Patriot hunter is primed and ready to beat Omissioner Shythead to the punch...

I'd love to see Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon party errr play together some day.

So would the Browns. Along with Trent Richardson, Justin Gilbert, Brandon Weeden and Phil Taylor.

The opportunities afforded to a young man in the position of NFL starting quarterback are mind boggling in their rarity. The world really is their oyster. Even if that effort to be the star QB ultimate fails in terms of multi year stats/W-L it still provides an extreme golden rarity.
Once drafted there really is only one requirement: work hard to be a successful starting QB and all that goes with it. So for this guy to blatantly piss so much of it away just so he can be the party! is telling. It tells me his parents and/or family members and/or coaches and/or authority figures in his life never enforced boundaries. It was 'Johnny is special, Johnny can bring home the wins, don't upset Johnny'.

I could be wrong about that, maybe people did draw boundaries, maybe he was shown consequence, and maybe he just told everyone to screw off 'I'll do what I want' despite consequences. But JM seems to reek of the kind of entitlement feeling that comes from multiple years of never being told 'STFU and do what you are supposed to do or else'.

But will he get the proverbial clean slate with the new front office?

I don't know, showing up drunk to practice AFTER his stint rehab, the partying in Vegas incident when he was supposed to be studying film for his big shot at starter, followed by celebrating being put into concussion protocol by heading out to party in Vegas AGAIN, this time in a wig and fake mustache, followed by blowing off his required medical meeting, followed by refusing to take the team's phone calls....

I don't know man, even Cleveland might get the picture from that.

He needs a good old punch in the mouth

I'm not going to say that you're wrong. I'm just saying "It's Cleveland. Don't bet the farm".

Did he go as Ron Mexico??

Guess this stuff does not stay in Vegas??
