Nice false analogy.
Maybe men are better suited to be refs because . . . men play football? The reason that there aren't any women NFL football players isn't because of sexism; it's because of very real physical differences between the genders.
Piss on you, Wyatt.Forgive me if I don't click on that Raw Sewage.
There are a lot of coaches in the league that has never played the game at any high level. Very few coaches actually played in the NFL, and yet they seem to be able to coach just fine. She doesn't have to tackle anyone, so I think she will do just fine on the physical part.
There are real physical differences that affect things like strength, and speed. But I don't see how they affect a job like being a ref. Not when we have a bunch of old guys doing just fine on the physical part. I'm not talking about women playing in the NFL, i'm talking about being a ref.
There's a logical reason to have separate leagues for women in men in sports where the phyiscal differences makes them perform on different levels. But it's not logical to do that separation in other jobs where that large separation doesn't exist. Like being a ref. Or coaching, or whatever. She seems to do as well as any other NFL ref.
He's a better man than I am. I would have squeezed her tits together and made an obscene gesture by flicking my tongue out of my mouth as fast as possible whilst making intense eye contact with her.
That's also the reason why nobody over the age of 45 plays in the NFL, yet we have a whole lot of old refs.
As far as I'm concerned, the best people for the job should get the job. If they're all men, then so be it. If a woman is the best candidate, then of course she should be hired. Officiating in the NFL is ****ing garbage right now, not like we can afford to be choosy at the expense of quality.
And there's so much bullsh*t in the NFL as it is, why pile on more?
The female ref hiring was never about "most qualified for the job," it was about pandering to the SJW's and feminizing the sport even further (as if the stupid "pink ribbon" thing wasn't bad enough).
Just gotta say, this is America in 2015. It's simultaneously:
"We have a female official!!! Hooray, equality!!!!"
and
"Look at what Belichick did!! It's weird because she's a woman!!!"
Boston Renegades. I'm betting many of them would kick your ass. And mine...Nice false analogy.

I guess that made him the Bane of NEM's Existence, eh?
I'll show myself out...

Yeah, high school dances were the first thing I thought of too. I remember saying "uh oh Coach.... make sure you leave room for the holy ghost..."My understanding is that she has a 15, 11 and 2 year old.
Maybe BB was coaching her on where the hand-positioning should be for those dreaded middle-school dances?
And you know that how? Is it really that much of a stretch to consider that there might be a woman out there who can be a better ref than the clowns like Jerome Boger that are currently running out there in stripes every Sunday?
If women are being hired based on even more lax/arbitrary/dumb standards than men, then I agree that that's stupid. But you seem to just be assuming that with no actual evidence that it's what's really happening. If the problem is that the league isn't doing everything that it reasonably can to ensure that the best refs are being put on the field, then there's a whole lot of bones to pick that are far more important than this one issue you've chosen to make a big deal out of.
If being in peak physical condition was a prerequisite of being an NFL ref, I would be a lot more sympathetic to this whole argument. But the average age of an NFL ref is 51, according to this article: A tougher NFL job to get than becoming a player. If we're going to be okay with a bunch of guys way past their physical primes doing the job, I don't see why a woman can't.
Link: Bill Belichick weirdly put his arms way too close to NFL's only female official
Is there any doubt Goodell and the other the NFL front office goons would have been too happy to suspend him if he did?

Why should there be anything exclusively for men in this day and age? If she can do the job, and it seems she can, what's the problem?
