Offensive Line worries...Lack of depth... Hope they address this...

OK, maybe this was discussed elsewhere and I missed it, but if Mason (questionable) is ready to play while Cannon, Wendell, and Jackson are not, and the Pats activate Stork, that leaves our available OL as Vollmer, Kline, Stork, Andrews, Mason, and Fleming.

Did I miss anyone? That is six OL including two players who are basically just centers.

How do we make a starting OL of this, and who are our reserves?

I thought we were pushing our luck the last two games with just six OLs, but we lost Jackson and Wendell, and added Mason and Stork. So now we have even less flexibility.

Do we activate Blaine Causell and Chris Barker?

The line is a mess. With Wendy doubtful they likely activate Stork, which means this could be Dobson's last day as a Patriot (or Dewey's since Martin also is hurt, or ?). They can play with 6 if needed. Mason/Stork/Andrews/Kline inside, Fleming/Vollmer/Williams/Kline outside. If Mason can't go (questionable), they also activate Barker and 2 are released. We should know by 4:00 today.

The offensive line and secondary depth look like potential problems to me, but I think the secondary is worse. If we get an injury in our secondary we could be in trouble. In something, heaven forbid, were to happen to Butler (in example), we are suddenly a much more vulnerable playoff team.

I literally just knocked on wood after typing that

We're good at safety.

We now need somebody who can play LT if Vollmer is hurt.

And please, do not suggest Marcus Cannonfodder.

Right now, I would settle for (a healthy) Cannonfodder.

As I stated earlier, any one of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, TJ Clemmings or La'el Collins would look
better than our current options at OT.

Andrews seen limping in lockeroom...

Vollmer had a head injury (concussion?)..

OL getting thin..

Does Gabe Carimi has anything left to play?

Clausell played 49 games at left tackle, starting 38 at an SEC school. I've got to think he's good as anything they're throwing out there and allows them to use Fleming or guards at RT.

Next man up.

And to think I never thought I would get my chance..........

Patriots makeshift offensive line follows Brady's lead

How'd they remain as calm as they did?

"Twelve," said blocking tight end Michael Williams, referring to his quarterback. "That's how we keep our composure. Twelve comes in there and it's the same thing. Doesn't change his voice. Doesn't change anything. Hear the play, go play it. Communicate, go do it. Follow the general. That's what we do."

"He does a great job of believing in us," Andrews said. "You got a quarterback there who believes in you, that gives you all the confidence in the world. We just went out there, did our jobs, and he made his plays as usual."

I am worried about the O-line too, but when I read these quotes from this article, I felt a little better.
We fans are lucky that we have such a Great QB leading our team. The man is a born leader. He didn't panic and the guys around him didn't panic either. Don't get me wrong, the injuries are ridiculous. Eventually, it will catch up with them. But I think these guys will figure things out. The offense is going to be different until the line gets healthy, IMO.

It is difficult to "get healthy" when Solder and Wendell are out for the year.

But you're right. It will be much better if we have more healthy linemen.

I see the entire situation as one of building depth through game time experience as well as new guys being completely ready to play the moment their name is called

the injury pattern this year has created the impression that any one of them may be asked to produce the next sunday.

it's been several weeks now where the OL's on the practice squad have been practicing as regular members of the roster.

based on what I have seen so far, I believe that baker and clausell are ready to contribute

Now that Mason and Stork are healthy, we are fine in there interior with 4 solid starters plus the injured Jackson who hasn't showed much yet (which is certainly OK).

The question is who can contribute at OT. We are about as thin as gets. IMHO, we are extremely fortunate that no one picked up Fleming. Williams clearly was not our #4 OT.

for starters, look for williams to get many more snaps at TE.......2nd, don't be surprised to see clausell get time

my gut tells me that vollmer is fine and that yesterdays game was in the bag and that there was no reason to put him out there

anyone see the headshot the redskins OL took from his teammate where his helmet got knocked off.....the replay looked like that hurt
