More worried about the OL than our secondary...

What to do?

Depends if Cannon and Shaq are able to come back in 10 days time....If they are just being given a rest beforwe the semi-bye, then I don't see any problems...

I suspect that Bill thought they were long term he would have made a move.

Idk. We have to wait on jackson. I think the secondary could be upgraded

What about using M Williams as a T? Didn't he play tackle for Detroit?

Any word on Tre Jackson's condition?

Depending on Stork's Condition, the O-line may or may not be an issue. IF he's passed the concussion protocols, then his addition should help alleviate some of the angst on the interior of the line. As others have mentioned, Cannon, Jackson and Mason should be close to rejoining the healthy linemen as well.

That being said, if all 4 are unable to go, then Barker would be added..

If Cannon is still questionable, they need a left tackle option period. Cannon isn't that good an option there. Either they call up Clausell, or find a retread LT, because they could really get stuck. I'm fine with Vollmer there, I think he could be better than Solder.

Need to be ready to move quick if there's an injury, a "lineman" is not a "Left tackle" You need a combination of light feet and size. If clausell can't step up on a game's notice, they need to search the wire/trade, while they can.

Last night it was being reported as they probably dodged a bullet and it looked like just hyper extension. I tend to believe it. Since we've heard nothing (and know that Wake is done for the year) means that's what it is.

Liking Vollmer at LT but if he gets nicked again there's gonna be big problems. The team needs Cannon to come back. If he does, and Vollmer is still doing fine, does the team swap Vollmer back to RT or do they put Cannon at RT to replace Fleming?

I think they'll make due in the interior. Andrews is somehow keeping pretty much rock steady for a UDFA, and we've got Stork coming back PLUS Wendell as the emergency reserve which feels like an embarrassment of riches at the center position almost. At guard, if Mason can get back soon and Jackson isn't out too long, those guys plus Wendell and Kline seems like it should be good enough. My question is, what does Googs do with Andrews when Stork is back to 100%? Does he try him at guard or just keep him in reserves? Could he rotate him in for Stork in-game to keep Stork healthy? Seems like Andrews is pretty damn scrappy, I bet he's worth a try at guard to see how he looks. Either way, he's been one hell of a UDFA find.

We have 6 interior OL who can play, none of whom is obviously done for the season. 3 are rookies (2 hurt). 1 is a sophomore with concussions. 1 sucked until this year. 1 started the year with mysterious health issues.

Still -- that's 6 guys. I'm pretty optimistic about them.

OT is the bigger concern, especially given Vollmer's history of apparently always managing health issues.

We obviously are holding on to Cannon and hoping he can come back. Williams in the meantime is our game day tackle substitution and Wendell is our interior substitution if Jackson can come back.

If Jackson, Mason and Cannon can not play then we need to do something. Maybe it is Stork, maybe it is one of the players we have on the practice squad, maybe it is one of the players in the roller decks, maybe it is a 7th round trade with another team.

Whatever it is, I trust in the Patriots system.

Just wanted to add, we did not want to lean this hard on Vollmer. Guessing when (fingers crossed) Cannon comes back, that we will return to a tackle rotation. He could be one of the 5 most important people for thee Patriots to have at full health come playoffs.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the Browns are considering trading tackle Joe Thomas and center Alex Mack before Tuesday's trade deadline.

Thomas, 30, has spent each of his first nine seasons with Cleveland after being taken No. 3 overall in 2007. An eight-time Pro Bowler, he has never missed a game and has maintained a reputation as perhaps the NFL's best tackle despite the Browns' revolving door at quarterback. Pro Football Focus grades Thomas as the best tackle through the season's first seven weeks, putting him significantly ahead of the Dallas Cowboys' Tyron Smith.

That the Browns would consider moving a consistent star like Thomas is curious. They haven't made the playoffs since 2002 and have maneuvered in recent seasons to become instantly competitive. It just hasn't worked. They're five games behind the Cincinnati Bengals in the loss column and are likely headed for their eighth straight losing season.

Thomas has three more seasons remaining on his contract after 2015 but has no dead money attached. If the Browns don't feel they can compete anytime soon and Thomas can net them a series of draft picks, then maybe now's the right time to move. But any trade of Thomas would signal to fans that Cleveland has no interest in competing for the rest of 2015 and perhaps 2016.

Jackson's MRI came back clean. He has no tear.

That was a freaking sigh of relief.

Hopefully he'll be ready for WASH.

If not, Wendy is a more than serviceable backup.

Thomas has a base salary of $8m for this year and is not a swing tackle, so this would be a tough fit for him here.

However, I don't know what our cap is at this point and beyond, and am not going to even bother to pretend I know what it is.
