Kraft's Response

I believe Kraft made quite a strong statement defending Brady, what else is he supposed to do?

When? He said he will accept whatever penalty they are given.
I don't recall any comments disparaging the reports implication the Tom Brady is a liar and a cheater, without a shred of legitimate evidence other than Wells thinks the explanations everyone in New England gives is not credible and dismisses it without any contrary evidence or testimony, and then uses his version of what they meant as the lynchpin evidence.

Nunchucks is accused of murder, and has a text to the victim saying "see ya".
Nunchucks explains that was because the victim was leaving to go somewhere.
Wells says that is not credible and a more reasonable explanation was that he was going to kill him.
Wells uses the text as the evidence to conclude Nunchucks is guilty.

That is the exact quality of the evidence against Tom Brady.

Look, it's up to Brady to stick up for himself. Most guys stop relying on their fathers to protect them while they're in their early teens. Kraft has, and will, do what he can, but the rest is up to the accused.

You are joking right?
"We will accept whatever penalty you choose to give us" is doing everything he can?
Not publicly commenting about his meal ticket being dragged through the mud without evidence by an investigator that he and his partners are paying, is all he can do?
Kraft is asleep at the wheel and showing more commitment to Goodell than to Brady, and its disgusting.

That's crap.

Kraft has said he will accept any punishment Roger wants to give.
Kraft has not come out in defense of Brady being railroaded by the guy he helped pay for.
You may be fine with Kraft turning his back on Brady to snuggle up to his Commissioner, but I am not, andI am sure Brady isn't either.

So the goal of your strategy is to allow the character assassination of Brady if he can get a small fine? Very kind of you to sacrifice others like that. Brady is set for life and doesn't get a damn thing whether the team wins or loses. His reputation is the tangible benefit he gets from football.

ummm.....last time I checked, Kraft as well as BB are in the same PR dumpster as Brady

Brady loves to play football for the team I love......that's all I need

given so much about this is jealousy and envy, I'm sure Brady's not sweating it much.....I'd bet he's fine with keepin' on......who knows, he might even get spanked by his woman for being a bad boy

do you honestly believe that Kraft, BB, and Brady have not sat down and reached consensus on how to handle the entire situation and any curves it might take? I think everything they are doing now they are doing by being on the same page. They've been together for 15 years...they know how to handle this stuff regardless of what direction it goes in......and I'd bet Kraft said what he said for a good reason....nobody's going to pull this troika apart

The reference Kraft made about accepting penalties was in reference to TEAM penalties, not Brady's penalties. Those are up to Brady to accept or not.

If Brady feels he didn't do anything? Fine, he can get up off his *** and say so. Don't expect someone else to carry your lunch.

Do you honestly think Kraft would let bs like Spygate happen and taint the GOAT coach? Oh wait, he did.
What makes you think that Kraft is going to side with labor vs management?
Brady is part of his team, Goodell is part of his business and fortune.

I find it hard to believe that he really supports Brady but the day a report comes out implicating him with no evidence beyond conjecture and interpretation that requires everyone to be lying he says he will accept whatever penalty Goodell gives and that means he has a secret plan hatched with Brady.

Roger Goodell is his business partner, not Tom Brady, and it is becoming painfully clear.

If Kraft 'knew how to handle this stuff' Spygate would have been a non-issue, and Wells would never have been hired with the charge of proving a predetermined guilt however he sees fit.

Doesn't work that way. When the owners says we will accept whatever penalty you give, he is speaking for everyone.

that is how you feel, and that is fine, but I feel Kraft has a stage and an obligation to not let Brady get railroaded. Loyalty matters to me.

Andy, Kraft doesn't have the right to speak for Brady regarding what penalties he, Brady, will accept or not. Don't you think Kraft knows that?

I agree. What possible reason would there be for Kraft to show his hand this way?

I disagree.....I think they know what they are doing......there are limitations though......if BB or Brady are breaking rules, first he doesn't want to know about it, second, if they get caught, he doesn't know anything about it. Yes, it is business, and in business, there are many things to consider. that said, I am sure they are on the same page

behind the curtain, Kraft has his back.......out in public, politics must be played

you know this how? the player is protected by the CBA.......I think legally, there is nothing that Kraft can infer when it comes to the league penalizing a player

He is not doing it.

It's called$$$$$. The Pats and all the 31 others paid for this witch hunt. Kraft does not want to spend any more money. It's a shame. He does not realize this hurts him almost as much as Brady. Not smart.

Andy, Kraft doesn't have the right to speak for Brady regarding what penalties he, Brady, will accept or not. Don't you think Kraft knows that?

Of course he does. Brady is part of his organization and is being accused of knowing about inappropriate actions by Bob Kraft's employees.
Kraft has every right (and responsiblity) to come out and support his franchise player. Every idiot in the world is out there saying what punishment Brady should get, and where is Bob Kraft saying that it should be nothing, and that he will support Brady in fighting any unjust punishment he receives.
He owes that to Brady.
Tedy Bruschi came out in support, Bob Kraft did not. Tedy Bruschi has balls and character. Bob Kraft has a multi-billion dollar business and is showing roger Goodell is more important to him than Tom Brady. Its disgusting.

Its not about whether he can prevent Brady from fighting it, its about him, as the leader giving credence to a report that is bs. There should be no need to parse words and read between the lines.
Shannon Sharpe and others want the book thrown at Brady. Bob Kraft wants to hand Goodell unquestioned ability to pick whatever punishment he wants.
What is the point of saying they will accept whatever he is given other than to support Goodell, at Brady's expense?

Can't agree with you.
There is no reason to side with Goodell publicly if privately you are on Brady's side.
If Kraft has his back, show me anything that proves it. He certainly didn't have BBs in Spygate and that was almost as much of a sham as this.
Bob 'bendover' Kraft is at it again.

Oh, come on Andy. Kraft knows he can't speak for penalties that are directed at Brady and no one else. Lets use our heads here. Kraft isn't ordering a player to accept a suspension without fighting it.

Shannon Sharpe always hated Brady. His comment doesn't surprise me one bit.

He can speak out for Brady.
His words matter. The attitude that we will sit back and accept the penalty carries weight.
Above all he should be out front fighting the PR war for Brady.

Many people belief the league released the report and are waiting on public opinion to decide punishment.

The haters are calling for life in front of the firing squad an No Balls Bob is saying go ahead and do whatever you want, I won't argue.
