I'm all aboard the AJ bandwagon...sign the beast! He has to know he isn't a #1 anymore, he just needed an excuse to leave the Texans. He's 34. He wants a ring. The Pats just won a Super Bowl. He can still ball. Don't think he'd be that expensive either. Could easily see him signing a deal for less money to play for a contender.

Who in their right mind trade for an aging receiver, whose best days are clearly behind him, with a 11+ million cap hit...even the Redskins, Raiders and Jets wouldn't do that...well maybe the Jets.

With that said, I would like him with the Pats for a vet min to be our 3rd receiver, and maybe teach Dobson a thing or two.

I would focus upon the defensive moves and not worry about offense until they have resolved the secondary. After that they can address the OL and skill positions.

Except he's going to be cut and not traded. And he's older. And he's going to be cheaper. And the Texans are much further out from being a contender than AZ is. And he played for a former Patriots coach. But yeah, same thing.

I like our receiving corp as is, if we get Amendola to take a cut that would help out cap. I would luv for Vareen to stay for obvious reasons but if he goes I wouldn't mind a Harvin or CJ Spiller here. Harvin might come cheaper and BB can use him in multiple roles especially STs.
