I can't believe I'm up at 2:30 am reading this awful thread.

I'm going in the bedroom, waking the wife up, and getting laid.

EDIT: well, I'm back--30 seconds later, so either way it didn't work out too well

Welcome back, glad you're still a part of this!

It's spygate all over again. Sour grapes over doing something everyone does.

Kraft needs to step in and ask why we are constantly being singled out?

Oh and F the Colts. I hope we drop 60 on them next time.

Longtime college football manager: Everyone cheats and deflates footballs on game day

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/not-f...nager-everyone-cheats-deflates-184104713.html

Found this interesting...

Y!: So it’s really something between the quarterback and their specific manager. But the quarterback takes part?
A: Yeah. After a while you get to know how the quarterback likes the inflation. It depends on the quarterback. They may give you free rein to adjust them yourself. Or you get some quarterbacks who may want to test the pressure themselves by gripping the ball and then kind of adjust it with you.[QUOTE/]

Kind of what the other article I posted was about, it's a tedious process between the QB and equipment manager.

Welcome back, glad you're still a part of this!

Honestly, I feel as though I'm putting myself through hell reading and contributing to this, but it's like a train wreck. You just can't look away ;)

The ball isn't in the Ravens' possession (I believe), this has already been discussed. Kicking balls are actually handled properly, shipped to, prepared by, and watched over by the officials. They are, in theory, untouchable. As every other ball used during a game should be.

In "fair play", variables should not be allowed. Teams should not be allowed to prepare their own balls or choose the level of inflation.

If anything comes of this, the rule will be changed and the league will now provide all balls used on gameday and ball handlers will be appointed by the NFL and not the teams playing.

I guess I'm not making my point clear.

I'm aware that the balls aren't in anyone possession (kicking balls) so them being deflated not only has nothing to do with us, but also helps us.

The point I'm making was, if each team is in possession of their own provided balls, a kicking ball in their possession would have nothing to do with us, nor any other ball. So their balls not being inflated is on them.

And I thought my predicament (Waking up to the news that the investigation found something) was an emotionally deflating experience........

I hope we stomp on some necks come February 1.

I might as well drag my ass to Dennys if I'm gonna be up at 3 am to read this bull crap.

You've just stated the #1 reason why I'm still here.

At one point I actually considered my own investigation to discover if most of these posters I don't recognize with thousand's of posts are the ones who negatively frequent the gameday threads (which I don't believe I've taken part in in over a year, and probably another year before that one instance).

Too much effort though, as fun as it would be.

Right well if the pats similarly put through some soft balls that didn't get caught it's the same as Rodgers situation.

Yes. That's a different situation than the tampering scenario, but it remains at least a theoretically plausible one.

I feel as if roughly 80% of my given "funny" ratings are in this thread, so I will thank all of you for that, while many of you are panic-stricken, I am thoroughly entertained (and buzzed) right now.

That someone from the NFL leaked this to Mort, and Mort then does a news dump at 11PM so there is no way the Pats can get out in front of it is not a good omen.

Either Roger is more than happy to put the screws to BB and/or the refs and put the marquee event of the season under this or....

How far out on limb are Irsay, Grigson, and Kravitz for forcing everyone's hand into this scenario as it exists?

To repeat an earlier question..... Have you seen Rodger's work?

This is wrong for so many different reasons. I can't believe that the media has somehow managed to convince me that there's some undercover operation where the ballboys on the sidelines are letting air out of the footballs on purpose.

Spygate must have really taken a toll on us. Oddly enough, it feels as though I'm dreaming.

How is the Colts linebacker able to feel an issue with the ball, but Brady doesn't? Is Brady in on it too? Will the media be asking this as well and could this tarnish Brady's legacy in addition to Belichick's?

So, 11 of 12 footballs were deflated. If the team did this on purpose, do they fire the guy who didn't deflate the 12th ball for disobeying orders?*

*Relax people... it's meant in fun.

So much for celebrating our 8th AFC Championship win

Love that #deflategatedebunked thanks again Danger Zone!

Reposting the video he found in case people missed it earlier in the thread. THIS SHOULD BE THE NUMBER ONE STORY TOMORROW. I'm tweeting like crazy, hopefully some of these journalists actually read their tweets.

I feel the same way about the dreaming. It felt odd winning that game, I chalked it up to the losing done in the previous 2 championship. Within 3 hours this story broke and it's been all I've been thinking about.

Not one team has had to deal with this (saints for 1 season but hey, Payton and Brees had no idea they had a rogue defensive coach and we're innocent victims of collateral damage) on this level.

If spy gate didn't completely ruin their rep on their super run, tbis has.grabbed the remaining holdouts.

Haters will always hate the Pats and BB. Time for the Pats to feed that hate even more and win the Super Bowl.

that video is nice but for it to go from 13.5 to 11 it needed to be in 10 degree temperature for an hour straight.

It was over 51 degrees at game time.
