Are we seriously back to speculating on whether or not Belichick is going to ship Brady out of town?

You guys listen to too much Sports Hub.

This is your brain.

This is your brain on Felger and Mazz.

They aren't much different to me than most everyone else.

Some day maybe I'll try to put together a list of who I like and who I don't, but to be truthful they're all getting sucked down the drain and sound like one giant gurgle now.

The biggest downward trend that I've seen over the years is the move to more mediots talking, usually at the same time. There should have been a third man in penalty given to the person who started that trend.

Me? I root for the New England Patriots.

I've been a fan of them before Tom Brady and I'll be a fan of them after Tom Brady.

Likewise, but I'd like to stretch the Tom Brady era as far as it can go. I know Bill cuts guys a year too soon instead of a year too late, but I'd give Brady a full year of sub par play before parting ways. Of course, I don't make these decisions.

i am definitely a minority in this

but other people, like you, are obviously concerned about it......because otherwise my views wouldn't bother you....you would just ignore them or agree to disagree

i have been honest about being a BB fan first.....Patriots fan second

I can't blame anyone for being a BB fan, but being a Pats fan is part of that. He's wearing our uniform

if brady is still the QB in 2017 and we are still here, then i will admit i was a clueless moron.....and you can laugh at how dumb i was

thats the best i can do

That's good enough for me.

You know james, you remind me of a Jets fan that I met a few years ago who used to be a Pats fan but left to go with Parcells. That didn't work out very well for him.

thank you for the kind words......some people can be really mean to me here

jets fans tend to be the cream of the crop

Brady was just as tradeable before the restructure as he is now,

Really? I thought Miguel said just the opposite in his review of the restructure.

Really? I thought Miguel said just the opposite in his review of the restructure.

I don't think it makes much of a difference either way. On the one hand, his remaining salary isn't fully guaranteed; on the other hand, each year's salary has gone up by $1M. Not much of a difference, really.

No no. I mean I thought Miguel has said that the restructure made him much more tradeable relative to the pre-restructure contract because with the loss of the guarantees there's not nearly as much of a cap hit when traded.

I don't know why you are making this such a personal thing when someone disagrees with you on this subject.

Personally, I hope TB plays at an elite level when he is 45 years old. That would be the best.

But since you're going personal, you joined here 2 years ago, so maybe you never heard of Drew Bledsoe

You obviously never heard of Bernie Kosar and the crap Belichick's kids had to take in Cleveland when BB demoted him for Testaverde.

We all love TB right now and there isn't another QB I'd rather have on the planet. But in 2016 or 2017, if he is faltering and the team is losing, then I would fully want to explore the options.

Seriously? This guy has been watering at the mouth all season long as the thought of New England shipping Brady off to another team against his will. Not only is he salivating at the prospect of this happening, but in week #4 he wanted to do it to the worst teams in the NFL, I.E. the Raiders, and he wanted to do it for a bottom of the barrel draft pick.

How is just dying to tarnish our 3 time Superbowl Champion quarterback a legitimate position that can be summed up as a "difference of opinion?" To me that is obviously something entirely different.

It seems clear as day to me that wanting the best possible situation at quarterback, as if Tom isn't anyway, isn't what his motivation is.

Need I remind that in order to accomplish this, in this very thread, he's advocating Belichick bench Tom against Brady AND Robert Kraft's will and a complete breakdown in friendship between our HOF owner, coach and quarterback take place before Brady gets shipped off and Belichick quits the team over it?

I mean is this the Twilight Zone or something where advocating a complete media-fantasy meltdown in Gillette stadium in order to ruin Tom Brady is a respectable opinion with noble intentions?

Does anyone really want to trade Tom to the Jaguars for a 7th round draft pick and have Belichick and Kraft become the next Jimmy Johnson/Jerry Jones after 14 years of setting the standard together?

I don't understand where the hostility comes from in pointing out that this "opinion" is suspect at best.

No roast, I just wrote that MAYBE he did not know about how Drew Bledsoe was considered a son of Bob Kraft back in the late 1990's. They were that close. Closer, in fact, than the Brady-Kraft relationship.

The poster wrote with such conviction, and he went personal against anyone who disagreed that Bob Kraft would never ever agree to Belichick replacing Tom Brady in the future for any reason whatsoever.

Perhaps you overlook the fact that that poster had written:

"Sorry but you're an insignificant, miniscule minority, and don't speak Patriot fans."
"...Tom's untouchable in these parts.
"Anyone talking nonsense about Tom Brady is not from New England"
Pretty much sums it up.
Hate away, but it isn't going to get you anywhere. Nobody is listening."

Sorry, you were offended by someone confronting that attitude.

It is an insignificant, miniscule minority, and it doesn't speak for Patriot fans. If you polled every Patriot fan on whether they want to trade Tom Brady, I don't think the `in favor of crowd` would break even 3%,

Tom IS untouchable in these parts. The sharks were circling for the first month of the NFL season about how bad Brady is and all it really did was make people mad and emotional.

"Anyone talking nonsense about Tom Brady is not from New England" is a quote from the video I posted, and I definitely believe it.

I'm not taking it personal, nor am I getting personal. I'm just saying it like it is. Wanting to trade Tom to a crap team for a low draft pick, and wanting our entire front office to blow up over it if necessary, is an insignificant, miniscule, FRINGE opinion.

When Gillette starts chanting "Trade Tom" instead of "Brady's better" i'll revise that to `significant, overwhelming opinion that speaks for most of us.` Until that day

A poll of the fans?????????? Are you $hitting me???????

Many here laugh and remember the "we'll poll the 4th graders, we'll poll the janitors, we'll poll everybody" BB presser during the Bledsoe controversy.

Seriously, there is a clear historical precedent. Maybe you should ask someone about it.

The idea of citing the specter of a fan poll having any influence whatsoever on this situation is ridiculous.

Brady is QB of the NEP as long as he is the best option. He isn't QB for Life.

The subject is Bob Kraft, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Know your subject.

Are we out of the play offs, last in our division, 6-10, and Tom threw 40 interceptions, and I'm just imagining right now he's #1, #2 or #3 as an MVP candidate with the #1 seed hosting the Divisional Round?

Nobody is saying he'll be quarterback for life, and nobody is saying he should be. Do you really believe Tom is going to turn a certain age, go into a serious, noticeable, and clearly detrimental decline, and insist on still playing? More over, are you under the assumption that I believe Kraft will back him in this endeavor?

You're misunderstanding my point.

My point is when we get to this place, we're going to deal with it quietly, behind Kraft's closed doors, and reach a dignified solution, which will more than likely be retirement.

What we are NOT going to do is go out of our way to humiliate him while he's still playing elite football so Felger and Mazz can giggle together on air over a celebratory tickle fight.

You keep acting like I need a history lesson on how Brady came to be our starter. I don't know why.

Last I checked, Tom didn't start us off on a losing season and get injured before Janeane Garofalo (or whatever his name is) came in and saved us with a Superbowl victory.

The relevance of the comparison kind of escapes me.

"Kraft, Brady and Belichick are like family. I seriously can't believe some people think Tom is `just another roster spot` in the eyes of Bill."

"Yes, Brady is special. Kraft believes Tom is the GOAT. He hears the emotionally charged Brady chants thundering through out his stadium. The "In Tom we Trust" signs are there for everybody to see. Kraft is a fan of the game and a fan of the history of the game. He has already said, numerous times, that he thinks it sucks when great quarterbacks don't retire with their team, and that the fan in him wants Brady to be a Patriot for life."

1) Tom is another roster spot in the eyes of Belichick.

2) Despite "the emotionally charged Brady chants thundering throughout his stadium" or the "In Tom we trust" signs, make no mistake - - - he's gone when he cannot do the job.

3) Who is this "We"? Are you participating in that meeting? I know you have an outsized version of the importance of the fan sentiments regarding how that decision will be made, but I assure you there will be no special fan representative at the table in that meeting.

Sorry. It is what it is.

Yeah, but if they're doubling him, that means they have no who can cover him. Brady is not going to throw it to him much if there is a guy in front of him and behind him.

Hopefully....

We've seen Brady start to get pressured/hurried/slightly "off" from time to time and make some strange decisions in terms of attempting to force the ball to his top weapon(s).

Turnovers can make or break your entire postseason, so if Gronk is covered, then that should mean that someone else is not. The usual Tom Brady should be able to find the open man, and take advantage of this aspect.

Just wow.

You obviously have an agenda here so I'll just leave you to it.

brady fanboys make me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too. Couldnt care less about the guy. The only guy i want qb-ing the patriots is the guy belichick and the offensive coaches think is the best man for the job. Youre all whacked if you think anyone at patriot place thinks otherwise. Some of you remind me of the buttwipes from indy that now root for the broncos because their little boyfriend left.

Calm down there buddy. There's nothing wrong with being a Brady fanboy. For many current Patriots fans, he was their favorite player and reason for liking the Patriots. Obviously, we would all like for the entire fandom to be Patriots fans first and Tom Brady fans second but there's nothing wrong with it. We all know Belichick only cares about how a guy can perform his job and Brady's ass is gone the minute it isn't a question someone else can do the job better. PATS16NO's response might have been fanboyish to a certain extreme but having the GOAT can do that to a person . You really don't care that much about having the GOAT at quarterback
