Woody Johnson Clear Cut Tampered Re: Revis

I brought this up, and no one responded. Nothing is going to happen, and if anything happens it will be minor at best.
So there are different rules for the Jets? Some people have said that. I wouldn't expect you to be one of them.

(2 of 3) Johnson: “I would never interfere in the contractual relationship of a player with another team…"

(3 of 3) Johnson: “…and should not have used those words. I called Robert Kraft this afternoon to emphasize those points.”

I wish Kraft would have responded "Remember 2007? Well I do." (click)
Kind of a horse and barn door thing Woody. The damage, such as it may be, is already done.

Actually someone pointed out that the Jerry Jones situation was quite a bit different that what Woody did. Jones was handed a phone with Peterson on it. They talked a bit and it was Peterson who brought up that he'd like to play at some point for the Cowboys, not Jones. Jones also immediately contracted the Vikings and League office to see if he'd done something wrong.

Johnson on the other hand simply blathered out for all to hear that Revis would be welcomed back. You don't think that when the time comes Revis' agents aren't going to play that card with the Pats. It may have been unintentional, Jet fan, but not only was that kind of comment explicitly directly banned by NFL rules, it actually hurts the Pats and their potential negotiations with Revis. And that doesn't add into the fact that the team had been warned earlier this year for the same kind of activities.

Goodell has to know that just handing the Jets yet another slap on the wrist isn't going to get it done this time. Like I said before, it had been Bob Kraft making a similar comment about Wilkerson delusional Jet fans would be demanding the Pats removal from the league....for starters. We on the other hand are only looking for swapping draft picks in the first or 2nd round.

I hope Jet fans after all these years, better understand why Bill Bellichick ran screaming in terror after finding out Woody Johnson was going to be the owner he'd have to work with if he stayed with the Jets

Yeah, it was pretty much word for word from the 'what not to do' example in the rulebook, with the exception that he didn't include the 'if he was available but he's under contract with another team' bit. So, arguably, it's worse than the example given.

Johnson was reprimanded for this before, in comments he made about DeSean Jackson.

The Jets had permission from the Eagles to talk to Jackson and the Eagles never file a grievance with the League. It's his tampering with Deion Branch that makes him a repeat offender.

My understanding that /something/ he/they did this season caused the league to issue them a written warning.

So, there it is. Woody's now admitted to tampering, and is now just claiming that it was a "whoopsie!".

Swap those firsts, Ommissioner!

How many times do I have to say this? I don't care about Spygate, and you were cleary trying to change the subject, because I was telling IVAN that it would be unreasonable for the league to strip the Jets of their first round pick, because of Woody Johnson's behavior . I never once said, that the Jets should not be punished, however, I do believe that asking the league to strip the Jets of a top five pick is unreasonable .

Why should it matter how high in the round the pick is?

Should the Jets be rewarded for their incompetence?

BlueThunder, you have people here asking for a first round swap. You guys really aren't any better. Both sides are going to be biased.

Stop trolling

Does anyone else remember when Jerry Reese said his team would explore Willis McGhee before Free Agency even began?

Jet fan, you really disappoint me. You disliked my post? Why because I told you the truth about the Jones story. I guess I misjudged you. I thought you were different from the usual Jet fans who, when they hear the hard truth lash out against the messenger. Too bad.

Woody calls K raft...I'm cool with that.

LMAO. Nope. C'mon, troll, 50% of those polled voted for "Second Warning" as the punishment most likely to be handed down.

Did Belichick get a "second warning"?

How can you call other fanbases delusional when you're asking for a first round
pick swap? BTW I didn't dislike yournpost, because of the Jones story.

I haven't trolled in this thread. Asking for a first round pick swap is unreasonable, it's really simple as that.

Was it his second infraction within 9 months and AFTER a reprimand with the NFL releasing a point of emphasis?
