I knew it!!!!

Steve Gregory was in too perfect a position to scoop up the butt fumble and go in the TD. He KNEW Sanchez was going to run into Brandon Moore's ass and fall like a ton of bricks on his sternum!!!!!!!

Yup! Just like Edelman "knew" ahead of ttime McKnight was going to catch that kick and toward what inzone he was going to run..

The person who should be truly pissed off is Rex Ryan. The allegation made centers on professional malpractice.

Cimini writes he has a presser this afternoon. Get ready for some CLASSIC soundbites out of this one. I can guarantee it.

how stupid can rex ryan be? WOW

Read the comments on ESPN

"Not really sure how much this is relevant... The Jets playbook looks basically like this: 1st Down Run - 2nd Down Throw an INT"

"hat actually explains a lot. When I watch the Jets, it never seems as though any of the offensive players have a copy of the playbook."

Thanks, Bedard. We were getting a little deep into the summer this year without anything to concern ourselves about in terms of unsubstantiated, juicy gossip.

Ooooh, this should be good. Gonna sit back now and enjoy the Rex-Pettine squable.......:D

too late,I heard they gave each other foot rubs and made up....:(

I would honestly find it hard to believe that Rex was dumb enough to let his playbook get into Saban's hands... but then again, it's Rex.

Belichick has weighed in...

Either way, Belichick was asked today if the Patriots have ever been in possession of a Jets playbook.
"Go talk to Mike Pettine," Belichick replied. "I don’t know."

So both Wrecks & Bill have told reporters not to ask them, but instead to ask Pettine about Playbookgate. I think I can guess what the main topic of Pettine's next PC will be.

Playbookgate....nice...can't wait for the MMQB piece

What's more, Rex even said that it's "disrespectful to the Patriots". The end times must be nigh.

this is bad news for the Jets....now they'll never sniff another off tackle first down...

eh. I'd worry why they want us to know. Kinda like how the German's just assumed those plans for the invasions of Greece and southern France when they'd probably be expecting Sicily just happened to be carelessly handled enough for them to get them.

The funny thing is I think Pettine really said this as a swipe at Rex, not the Pats.

I took most of it that way. But the part about everything ending up "in places like New England" seems to be a swipe at NE.

My favorite comment on the NFL.com story:

OK wait... so supposedly one guy told a second guy at a third guys wedding that a fourth guy told a fifth guy who was the third guys roommate that sixth guy "may or may not have had" something.

This is considered acceptable journalism today? Because my 3rd grade niece would really like a job as a reporter, and she's got ALL the dirt from the schoolyard.

Rex actually did the right thing and called his ex-coach out for his BS.

Rex is trying to gain favor so once he gets fired from the Jets, he can get a job as the Pats defensive coordinator!

What's more, Rex even said that it's "disrespectful to the Patriots". The end times must be nigh.

rex is wrong again. its not disrespectful to the pats, it's disrespectful to the jets. the pats didn't do anything stupid or wrong.

@Brady_to_Moss - Should have included the comment like 20 comments below that, which included something like "and if they get to 3rd down BUTT FUMBLE PLAY!" Haha that comment section was hilarious though.
