Welcome to the new forum!

I've used both and they're both quick. A refreshing experience given how slow and miserable the other one was before the transition. Really glad it seems to be working better for everyone.

They are both really quick. I find FF to be quicker by a very slim margin, which really isn't a big deal.

I think part of the problem is with Chrome though. Although it is quicker than FF in some cases, I find that when I scroll down on a page and refresh, it jumps all the way to the top of the page before returning to the scroll position it was before refreshing. FF doesn't do that - it stays in the same position. And when I click on "go to last post" Chrome takes me to the top of the page first before it scrolls down to the last post, while FF takes me directly where it should. But I find this to be the case with other forums too - not just this one.

It seems to be sort of a combination. Judging from Ian's seemingly specifically responding to nobody on multiple occasions, it seems as if you still (sometimes) see that a member on ignore has posted because the colored bar (sometimes) shows up telling you that they have, but you don't see the post even if someone else is quoting
I'm with you. I might actually get to upgrade the browser on my "game day" computer.

Honestly, I find repeated conversations and references from Deus about his ability to Ignore the people he's been scathingly rude and insulting to during his previous tirades to be a form of trolling.

This is his sixth or seventh post to that effect in the last week and while some of these topics creep up naturally of course a few of the posts earlier in the week were obviously meant to thumb his nose at the people on that Ignore List.

Personally I feel that if you choose to be so scathing in your interactions with fellow posters you shouldnt be allowed to hide from the repercussions of being so purposefully insulting.

If you're using anything approaching a new windows computer, you can speed up your 'Firefox' by getting rid of the Mozilla version and replacing it with a forked version:

I am using a laptop I purchased a month ago. But I don't have any issues with FF. In fact, as I said, I find it to be slightly faster than Chrome on this forum. Both are really quick though.

I've been told that I am full of personality(s)...that being said, can I put EVERYONE on ignore and carry on discourse with my selves?...or maybe there's a doctor icon denoting "needs help" that I can use as a smilie...

Ian, thanks as always for all your work on this site and for assuring that it remains the best Fan Board in the entire NFL!

I do want to register my disagreement with the inclusion of the "Dislike," "Dumb" and "ABC" buttons. I think that it's better to police occasional idiocy or illiteracy by either ignoring or directly replying to the offending post and not in this way. I remember that we used to have something else like it ("Reputations" or some such...I forget exactly) and I think there was a consensus to do away with it.

But, that disagreement is minor compared to my appreciation for the quality of the site itself.

Thanks again!

I would never put you on Ignore Joker.. ;) because I happen to like your Personality(s).

And where is the fun of talking to yourselves if EVERYONE is on Ignore? How would you know what you are saying to or about yourselves?

trying to figure out how to put a pic for the sig...i will get it...i think

I still hate all the links up top. 16 links taking up tons of space for links I never use other than the Draft Forum link. I wish they were on the bottom or that there was a lot less of them. Scrolling down to see the actual forum . . . is not optimal.

@Ian I'd love to see sub-forums on the left side with all the blank space so accessing threads wouldn't require so much scrolling.

Here's a quick mock I did in paint:

That looks really nice. Anything to get away from the way the top is now. Not meaning to sound rude, I like the new look overall.

That does look good..maybe in the future!

Great work, I know personally how hard it is to migrate a forum, like it a lot.

I have only put half of your personalities on ignore. The other half I read every post with delight. But I am a glutton for punishment.

You probably talk to yourself at home anyway so you might as well do it here too. :)

Ian, any chance there is an app that when I post my computer will say "Rob, that was a brilliant post and you are the best poster on Patsfans.com"? The voices in my head are getting tired of saying it every time I post. Much appreciated in advance.

I figured I would jump on the mental insane path this thread is heading toward while the getting is good.

I don't know why you have decided to take a generally positive thread where people are talking about their experiences with the board's new features, format etc and take it in another direction by going on a spiel about how X is rude and uses X feature in such a way.

I am not trying to start a debate. I am just trying to point out Deus wasn't directly referencing any particular poster, but rather what he thinks is good and what he thinks is lacking on the new board in terms of features, design etc.

I like Deus. I don't agree with Deus 100% of the time, but I don't agree with ANYONE 100% of the time. However, I do agree with a a majority of his posts. Deus is often blunt, but his intentions are good. Deus has always been respectful and mature even in the very rare times that I have slightly disagreed with him. I have made many friends on this board and Deus is definitely one of those friends. There have been times where he has reached out to me either publicly or via PM when I have felt down or in need of advice etc. Nonetheless, I hold Deus in a very high regard and I am happy to call Deus a friend.

Dangerzone, Deus is certainly not trying to be aggressive here. If you feel as strongly as you do than maybe you should start adding people to your ignore list. I am just trying to offer my opinion and give a little advice. If you want to talk more about this situation, than feel free PM me.

Anyways, I hope you're doing well . There are so many new and exciting things to learn and do on this new board. Personally, I am very excited to start learning about the board's new features and putting them into use. Nevertheless, lets enjoy the new board. :)
