Free Agent Signings around the League

That is the aspect that seems to be frustrating a bit as a fan--watching those reasonably priced deals go down.

I have no problem with not making huge splashes, but when any of those 4 players would have been nice fits for us, it's difficult to stomach.

Oh well.

Well said. Couldn't agree more.

Veteran center Phil Costa visited the Lions and Patriots today, per @RavensInsider.

Starting center 2014?

a six year deal for Byrd?

I am clueless now...what the hell kind of deal did the players make during the last contract talks? The ever expanding cap to infinity?

6 year means squat. Can't amortize the signing bonus into it.. Doubt that Byrd will see that year.

Linval Joseph or Isaac Sopoaga and Adrian Wilson?

Seriously?

CB
- Darrell Revis (Trade)
- Aqib Talib
- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
- Antonio Cromartie

I'd rather have Browner than either Cromartie.

Maybe this will make you feel better.

No No No damnit Bill
Ward and Ware.
We would need Aquib and Darelle to compete and a sick draft.

So damn frustrating seeing how the Broncos actually REALIZE that their QB doesn't have much time left in the league and are making big things happen for him. Unlike Belichick. Makes me sick.

Credit our consistency to Bill's philosophy all you want, but at the end of the day, the main reason we've been so consistent over the past decade is because of #12. Reward him NOW with a great team before it's too late.

Gerhart goes to Jacksonville | ProFootballTalk

After four years standing in the considerable shadow of Adrian Peterson, running back Toby Gerhart has opted to step out on his own.

He’ll do so by joining the Jaguars, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

A league source tells PFT that Gerhart’s three-year deal has a base value of $10.5 million, including $4.5 million guaranteed.

The move could mean that the Jaguars have exited the Maurice Jones-Drew business. Given that he has eight years of wear and tear, the money paid to Gerhart is likely money that would have been given to Jones-Drew, if he wanted it.

A second-round pick in 2010, Gerhart has 1,305 career rushing yards, with a 4.7 per-carry average.

If, as it appears, Jones-Drew won’t return, Gerhart and Jordan Todman likely will serve as the top tailbacks in Jacksonville.

Byrd to the saints....damn that's a big addition for them. Market is drying up quick. Hope we don't miss out.

No thanks.

Brandon Browner - Seattle Seahawks - 2014 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

NFL suspended free agent CB Brandon Browner the first four weeks of the 2014 season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Browner will also forfeit an additional four weeks of game checks. Considering he was previously expected to be suspended most -- if not all -- of the 2014 season, it's a victory for Browner. He'll be allowed to participate in all offseason and preseason activities before returning in Week 5. Now that teams know the details, we would expect Browner to have a decent free-agent market.
