Not going to get into this type of back and forth that you seem to expertly bait other posters into.
FO's can't tell the future RE injuries. Amendola would be the only one i'd give you there because he had a substantial history of missing games.
Your summation of "substantial failure" is IMO ridiculous. Players BB brought in last year who started for the pats: Jones, Silinga, Kelly, Blount, Amendola and Svitek.
Before i waste any more time on this, i think we all know it's not as black and white as you are making it out to be. As long as you continue to make it out as such you'll continue to have your otherwise well thought out posts viewed as satire. :thumb:
1.) You started the "back and forth", not me. I sure as hell wasn't trying to bait you into anything. I'd responded specifically to someone else, who'd responded to me after I'd responded to yet another party, and you jumped in with a terribly thought-out post.
2.) Armstead missed the year because of a non-football illness. We weren't told what the illness was, so we don't know if it was at all related to previous issues, but it required surgery. Undergoing surgery in July means that he never even got into an exhibition game, nevermind a regular season contest.
3.) Blount was not a free agent. He was brought in via trade. I've already pointed this out to you.
4.) Siliga was not a part of the free agent spending spree. He was a mid-season pickup long after that had gone by.
5.) Chris Jones was a waiver claim, in September. He was, obviously, not a part of the free agent shopping spree.
6.) Amendola, as has been discussed in about a billion threads, was a terrible signing through year one of his deal. Obviously, we hope for better moving forward, but claiming him as a FA win at this point is insanity.
7.) I already went over Kelly and Svitek. They were the cream of the Patriots FA crop. One good signing, and a second signing that didn't completely suck. Woohoo!
In short, my post was fine and easily defended, and I was in no way trying to bait you or anyone else. Your post was poorly thought out and your followup has been even worse.
Now, feel free to laisse tomber.
