Who means more to Boston? Both have won three championships for Boston and are legends in their own right.... Either way we are lucky fans to have both those players playing for our teams but who will have their face in the Mount Rushmore of Boston sports first?

Brady > *.

You can't compare them.

The boston sports trinity is Larry bird, big papi, and tom brady. Each have three rings and are loved by all.

LOL is this a serious question? Brady.

Lets see. The GOAT at the most important position on the field, or one of the best 50 hitters of his era who doesn't play the field?
I think this one is easy.
Love Papi but this is apples to watermelon seeds.

Anyone who can bring Championships to New England are alright in my book. I sustain.

We got a tunnel and statue named after Ted Williams.
Bobby Orr statue is at TD Bank Garden, and tomorrow is Bill Russell's statue.

Now, we need Bird, Brady, Belichick.

What big papi did in 04 is greater than anything tom brady has ever did.

I love tom brady and big papi equally, but it's telling how easy fans turn on brady when he has a bad game.

Patriots fans booed brady and the offense down 2 scores going into halftime against the dolphins.

These stories are still being written, but I think right now it's a lot closer than most here seem to think (expected since it's a football forum). As a fan I'm very happy to have been able to root for both.

Too close to tell. But I'd say Brady mostly for the fact that he is up there for discussion of GOAT at QB. In terms of baseball, I don't think Ortiz is in that discussion.

More clutch? David Ortiz hands down. And that's not knocking Tom Brady.

I think it tells a lot more about the fanbase than the player. Sox probably a lot more informed and very long standing old fans. Pats fans esp a foxboro probably are a lot of converted young fans. Just a theory.

Baseball can't carry the jock of Football

Baseball is a joke and will remain so until there is a cap

no comparison...Brady by far

This is crazy. Big papi represents the heart of boston. Where is tom brady speech after the marathon this year? Has brady even said anything about it?

I still love brady, but if his poor play continue it will reveal how shallow some patriot fans are.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

oh sorry, fell asleep thinking about baseball there for a second.

I don't give a microcrap about baseball, 98% of it is watching a man stand on grass so this is an easy question...

LOL is my answer.

Not Ruth. Actually Yaz would be closest.

Belichick and Auerbach clearly belong if you extend it to coaches.
