Week 8 NFL Games

So you're saying if they get to the playoffs and he plays like somebody else entirely they have a good shot at the title?

Exactly.

Or if he plays like he is now, which is good but not great.

Kyle Orton would've put up ridiculous numbers with this offense.

Jordy Nelson is such a beast.

It baffles me how you could come on a Pats forum and post this, as if anyone would actually care. Lmao. Maybe I can give you a pass if you live in Denver. I heard the weed there gets you higher than Manning's forehead.

He's a good fan who posts here. He gave us a insightful opinion perspective on a week 8 NFL game, which happens to be the thread topic.

Well put and very true. The stats are incredibly misleading if people are taking out of it that PM is having the best year ever (and I know no one on here thinks that  ). Far from it, and it's why I said Knowshon is our real first half MVP. The difference between Peyton and Brady this season is that the Broncos have more people standing absolutely wide open on any given play. It's easy to put up good stats when on any given play you'll have someone like Welker all the way down to 4th string TEs standing wide open 10 yards down the field. I'm concerned about Manning a bit, but I think our D will start to show more improvement, and the pure # of weapons on offense leaves us still in good shape, IMO.

If the Chiefs can continue playing at the level they are playing right now, the Broncos upcoming four game stretch is going to tell us a lot about how NE, DEN and K.C. compare to each other as they head down the home stretch.

Rodgers looking good even with 2 of 3 top wrs out and his top te out. But they are playing the Vikings

New York Jets Blog - ESPN New York

An imperfect 10: As expected, Rex Ryan was in a foul mood, but he's often at his candid best when speaking out of anger. This was no exception. If the defense doesn't play better next week against New Orleans, Drew Brees "will break every record known to man against us," he said disgustedly. Someone asked if this was the worst loss of his coaching career. "No, shoot, no," he said. "The loss to New England [in 2010], 45-3, felt worse. On a scale of 10, this one's a 10, but that one to New England was like an 11. It's brutal." They were both brutal.

still not sold on KC to score points especially on the road. SD is a wild card .NE , who knows.

You jut became my favorite broncos fan.
:welcome:
even though you've been around a while lol.

pass protection is noticeably better . A lot of our issues are tied to our Oline I feel. They have been beaten 1-1 many times.

Does anyone else see the difference in "covered" receivers for other QBs? When Patriots receivers are "covered", the defender looks like he's part of the uniform. When the GB receivers are "covered", there's about a 3-4 foot gap between the two players. "Open" is the same way. "Open" in New England is having that 3-4 foot gap. "Open" for other teams is having 3-4 steps on the defender.

I'd love to hear BB talk about why that is.

Oh how it must suck to have to see Adrian Peterson twice a year every year. I'd hate for him to be on an opposing team in this division.

And Ponder makes my point about "open" by passing up a throw to Jennings when he was open by about 15 feet.

Ponder just isn't a good QB, I've resigned. He just isn't good.

I've never liked Ponder as an NFL starter, but he's got to pull the trigger on that pass. Hell, it took a couple of seconds, but Jennings got "college open" on that play, and Ponder still didn't make the throw.

Ponder stinks. He only got the job back because Freeman blows epically.

Is quarterbacking really that hard in Minny? Turn around and hand the ball off to Adrian Peterson should be the easiest job in the league.

Yup.

And Jordy strikes again. Man, where did this guy come from? I wish we had that guy on this team. I love that guy.

A simple pass over the middle becomes a 76 yard TD play.....

Yeesh!

I love watching Rodgers, something about Peyton i cannot stand so if anyone is gonna get that MVP let it be ARodg.

BTW how much longer before Jordy Nelson gets his name up there with the best wideouts in the league? He's been there a while for me.

Yup. And then he pulled the trigger on a play where the receiver couldn't have been covered better by the CB. He just doesn't make good decisions. It appears AP will suffer the same fate as Barry Sanders. He's going to be stuck on bad teams while putting up HOF numbers. I feel bad for players like AP and Fitz (although Fitz may finally be leaving Arizona).
