Richard Seymour: No Return to NE

There can't be anyone that is surprised by this, or the source.

This is Borges reporting, so I take everything he has to say with a grain of salt.

Not sure if the Patriots even want Seymour, but Borges has no true knowledge of the situation either way.

That "source" and the media reporting somehow fail to note that the Patriots never asked.

I thought he said he called him.

Weird how everyone wants tired old retreads instead of giving young bucks a shot.

LOL, it's true. Only Borges, who thought Seymour was the worst pick BB ever made, asked him if he wanted to come back. Not the team. As I said elsewhere, too much water under the bridge, on both sides.

If Seymour is such a hot commodity, why are the "31 other teams he'd be open to play for" not calling him?

Hey, Seymour! It's Week 5 - - do you think you're doing the Welker Old Spice commercial where he forgets to come out of the shower and the game has already started???????

Doesn't Richard know the season's started already?

Good point.

Today is Ron Borges' hypocracy day.

Didn't it go something like this?:

"“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

(Actually, perhaps it's unfair to blame Borges for that doozy - - those could have been Mike Sando's words).

As the article also says:

Of course, there’s also the possibility the Patriots would have the same reaction.

1.) How do you know this?

2.) Why is it at all relevant to the question of whether Seymour would want to return, if asked?

Because it is as relevant as asking YOU if you would play for the Patriots.

It ain't happening.

It's Week 5 and he's sitting on a couch.

Obviously he and the 31 teams he would play for have better things to do this Sunday.

I'd like to see them bring back AJ Francis and see if we can get anything out of him or Jones. Vellano has flashed a few times. These all sound like better options than Seymour.

I thought AJ francis is on the practice squad? Did he got cut?

you suggesting the patriots also reached to seymour ?

This quote never fails to delight. Doesn't matter how many times I read it

Not at all. I'm not claiming to know that they didn't, though, which is what Shmessy's post was doing,

That "source" and the media reporting somehow fail to note that the Patriots never asked.

while also ignoring any possibility they might ask now that circumstances have changed, and that Seymour's position on the idea would then, obviously, matter.

LOL.

Not happening.

His position is crystal clear. And so is 31 of the "other teams" he would play for - - plenty of whom have big needs on their DL's.

All you have to look at is the DL our OL manhandled last night that plays in the man's own city. They need him FAR more than the Pats do, they are 1-3 and struggling to save their season and they ain't giving him his price him are they?

You don't need a diagram.

GFY Seymour

Seymour is sitting on a couch as of week-4 in NFL is almost in the books. I'm going to say it is because nobody wants his services at his asking price.

He says "no way", BB will say " No F***** way" !

now how do I know this?? ---> Occam's Razor
