in before the people who read this and think "great we are going to be playing the jets with zero tight ends, no running backs and only 1 wr"

New England Patriots injury report: Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski listed as doubtful for Jets game | masslive.com

My guess at the inactives:

Gronk
Amendola
Ebner
Harmon
Svitek
Sudfeld
Bolden

I don't think TE Zack Sudfeld is going to be inactive...we have to have some kind of TE that can atleast pretend to keep the Defense honest. A Hobbled Zack Sudfeld should be waaaayyyy better that Hooman and Mulligan.

My guess is that they'll go for more of a power run game and Develin would see the field more.

I was thinking this too. Big question: do we huddle on every play and slooow the game down--or attack as usual--without weapons.

I remember in 2003 we used to insert some random players on offense like 'Mike Cloud' and win. There were not much expectations from the team except to win. Now its so different.

BB seems to throw a bunch of random guys as questionable just for the hell of it lol. Watch Slater and Washington be perfectly healthy next week.

Yes, now you must win and look good doing it. That way you can sit atop the sports writers' power rankings. These are the things that truly matter during an NFL season.

WR Danny Amendola -- Wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him before the Sept. 29 game at Atlanta.

RB Brandon Bolden -- Missed the season opener with a knee injury, and the hunch is that he might need more time.

S Nate Ebner -- Special-teamer has been sidelined with an ankle injury.

TE Rob Gronkowski -- The first two games never seemed to be a realistic expectation for his return, but if things keep progressing, he might have a chance for the Sept. 22 game against the Buccaneers.

S Duron Harmon -- Rookie safety didn't travel to the opener because of a hamstring injury.

DT Chris Jones -- Claimed on waivers from the Buccaneers on Wednesday, that would be a quick turnaround to dress for a Thursday game.

OT/G Will Svitek -- Veteran backup missed the opener with a knee injury.

You mean that Zack sudfeld that was not drafted and in his first game had 1 pass thrown to him and handed it to the defender and has a hamstring injury?
You seriously think him being on the field would have any impact whatsoever on the Jets defensive scheme?
The Patriot TEs will not even need to wear numbers for the Jets, each and everyone will be treated as a non descript JAG TE.

fyi - Mulligan is not a good receiving tight end ... you also do not want him in on pass protection plays as he is a holding machine. anything besides designated running plays with him would be taking a big risk

Jets Injury Report - Winslow, Mangold, Kerley, Holmes

The Jets don't have many marquee players, but they are listed as limited on this injury report. Mangold is the most significant new name on there for me. He's got to have a good game against the Pats defensive line for Geno to have the time to make good decisions.

Neither of these teams is coming into this one with their full A-list roster.

You're right, the Jets roster is talent-strapped in a lot of areas, WR being one of them. And having said that, Kerley's absence is imho going to hurt them since Holmes is still coming back from that Lisfranc foot injury and is not 100%.

Brady's the difference in this one, NE 28-13.

Sounds like Sudfeld is out:

Tom E. Curran @tomecurran
Zach Sudfeld looking like another inactive for the Patriots tonight.

From @RapSheet: 'Danny Amendola could miss 2-6 weeks for the Patriots'

Gee, didn't see this one coming

Can't believe I took a late round flier on this guy in my FF league. Let's hope he comes back and produces this year on some level. I'm still concerned about his blocking skills though. Maybe Belichick is too.

Key word "could". That means its unsure if its any time or 6 weeks.
