Patriots down to 64, as @MikeReiss confirms DE Jermaine Cunningham has been released, as @ProFootballTalk reported.

I know who I'd vote for the final cut down to 53. Easy pick, that one.

That's nine. I would expect to keep that until/when Armstead comes back, then we'll be likely to cut Vellano, and possibly find a spot for him on the PS.

EDIT: Well, now looking at it we'd probably need to cut one of Vellano or Francis with the cutting situation were in.

Bequette went from bottom of the depth chart to first reserve by playing a nondescript game against 3rd and 4th stringers? I don't see Francis getting cut.

I was actually one of the one that thought that if he made it this far, he was gonna make the team. Not that I wanted that, but it was just that many of those cut before him had probably had done more to earn a spot then he did. BB likes him, and he basically did nothing all preseason (and looked bad doing it), so the fact that he was still here indicated to me he was probably staying

This is a good result. I'm quite happy to have been wrong.
