We'll see. I have Buchanan and Bequette in my 53, and Cunningham out. Unless you are suggesting Buchanan was ahead of them. Of course, I'm already wrong as I thought Ballard would make it.

I honestly don't see how Cunningham makes this team. Has he even practiced at all during training camp?

I don't think Francis is a "lock." The only two DEs I consider to be a lock are Ninkovich and Jones. But my opinion is that they'll keep five, the other three being Francis, Buchanan, and Bequette.

I liked what I saw from Benard--seemed to have a quick burst. I had him figured into my 53. I agree that Buchanan's emergence just beat him out for the spot.

The New England Patriots announced that they have released 10 players today.

The Patriots released five veteran players:
TE Jake Ballard
DE Marcus Benard
TE Daniel Fells
WR Johnathan Haggerty
LB Mike Rivera

The Patriots released one first-year player:
OL Luke Patterson

The Patriots released four rookie free agents:
FB Ben Bartholomew
DL Gilbert Peña
OL Matt Stankiewitch
DL Scott Vallone

By my count - they have another 12 cuts to go.
