People act as though BB/Pioli broke a promise just b/c they didn't pony up an unfair amount of dough for Branch. I'm pretty sure Brady didn't assume their "promise" included going nuts and giving out stupidly value-less deals.

We went pretty far and made a good amount of progress on offense this year. Obviously those guys will have made at least SOME degree of a leap in 2007. So...promise (semi) delivered.

I agree, these guys are going to be beasts next year. I'm not sure what they have in store for Mills, but we can expect that Maroney, Jackson & Thomas will all only get better and play a larger role. We're in great shape.

This is right on, players like Colston are the exception, give them another year.. we will be fine. We have always had a tendency to "red shirt" our first year guys, and it has paid off. There have been exceptions, but for the most part our first year guys are learning about the Pats, the NFL and how to play this style.

the only problem was that they were in a position to win their 4 th super bowl and they counted on rookies you cant do that and expect to win, they should of sprinkled faster more productive recievers in the mix, while the rookies got seasoning

what every one does not consider is it takes time and brady`s offence is so much more awesome then say mannings or palmer.

RB- Maroney,dillion,heath ,faulk[we are probabily the only team with a third down back specialist].
WR-We had a good group and also if you get a number 1 WR and he gets 700-600 yards he is going to be pissed as hell !!!! so personal will not fit our offensive style .When you get a a #1WR and ask him loss stats of a 1#WR not sure you will find a #1WR willing to play for #2/#3 stats in our offence.

the pats are build for continutity they for all their belief will not gointo a win 1 SB and then be crappy for the next 5 years policy.ITs a policy of krafts ,BB and Pilloi they are building for 5 year runs and not 1 and done.WHich would have us win 1 SB and not 3 ,so do not except a knee jerk reactions with a #1WR.

Chad Jackson will come up a little more and this is going to open alot of plays.Brady had a different supporting cast and ended with reche and jabbar as his fav targets .He is the one who was developing chemistry and if he feels he has a better chance with a certain player that player will get perference.The coach will say nope you have to play with chad as he is fast .so next year with reche and jabbar as the main stay he will work with others to develop more plays.

Blaming BB for chad is really stupid as brady and oc make the call on who he wants their.

The reason we need a deep threat isn't solely for WR yardage and to pad Brady's stats. It keeps D pressure off Brady, and opens up the running game and lets the TEs get more yardage after the catch etc. etc.

Last year's offseason was for the most part not part of the front office's master plan. There were lots of unexpected circumstances and they adapted as well as they could.

Beyond that I really have no question that they will attempt all the right moves to put the team into position to win. If that means giving Brady some top tier receivers fine, but all we need is a 30 catch guy who can average near 20 yrds per catch.

Pretty much everything else is there.

Defense, as always needs to be, and will be, the top priority for this team

They came within two bogus PI calls and one minute of winning. I wouldn't put that loss on any of the rookies.
