Special teams have always existed so you should have no problem giving me those examples.

Most people understand that there are 3 phases to a football game: Offense, Defense and Special Teams. Special teams TDs are a gift that cannot be counted on every week.

You mistakenly claim that offense rules when 14 points scored by Denver were an NFL record (Special Teams rules?) and actually, the Ravens defense did a good job of stopping Manning. Conversely, the Bronco defense did a terrible job of stopping the Ravens.

7 points in the SF came when Kapernick threw a pick 6.(Defense rules?) Any team with a sizable lead will gladly trade time off the clock for points. See GB vs SF. So basically youre down to 1 game from the Divison round in this new NFL - SEA vs ATL.

What also blows your claim full of holes is that the NE defense has improved leaps and bounds from last season. NE can stop the run and the pass defense is 10 times better with Talib and Dennard at Corner.

No, it's not totally relevant. It's irrelevant. However, as I noted, even if you wanted to pretend that it was relevant (which you apparently do), the same teams who scored 28+ in the divisional round only managed to score 24 or fewer, in winning efforts, the week before. Those teams didn't just magically get 4+ points better in the span of one week.

offense dominated the divisional round. That is not negated by what the teams who couldn't keep up did in the wild card round.

Now you're argument is the listing teams points don't matter because the winning team scored so much? You are kissing you're own argument all by yourself

There's not enough data for a meaningful conclusion yet. If the remaining three games are also very high-scoring, then your argument is starting to look very strong. However, if any of the remaining three games are low-scoring, then the theory takes a big hit. Nobody should forget that this theory didn't come out of nowhere; the last few years have featured some of the highest-scoring offenses ever, so the priors for this argument were relatively strong to begin with.

Today should help tell us the truth.

Good call. Offense really rules.

SF adjusted at the half and the ATL scored 0 points in the 2nd half.

NE scored 1 TD all game and 0 points in the 2nd half.
