I don't think people are attacking the player, so much as baffled at them spending #48 on a guy who was generally projected as a 6th/7th/UDFA.

Evidently Wilson was someone that the Pats really coveted. He better be good cuz they probably could of traded the pick and moved back to the 5th or 6th round to get him. This kind of a wtf pick. Either they couldn't trade out of the spot or they really like this guy. Although Green Bay just traded up.

Safeties who can't play are a dime a dozen. Pats already have a bunch of them. Could have picked up any dozen guys off the street instead of wasting 48 on this pick

Man there sure are a lot of people on this forum who are smarter than the Pats front office and BB.

Who? Interesting. At least it's a safety. Seems like an instant contributor on special teams and needed depth at the safety position according to scouting reports.
