Eli over Brady?

Which just goes to show you that football is a TEAM game, not arm-wrestling between opposing quarterbacks.

Whenever there is a Peyton vs. Brady argument, the bottom line is 3 > 1.

That's your first mistake. My parrot knows more about football than those two clowns. The only midday choice is Zolak and Gresh especially during football season.

I'd say that Gresh is as dumb as a rock, but that would be an insult to rocks.

Make me an argument as to how Eli Manning had a better season than Matt Stafford.

uhm - one and done vs superbowl?

So because the Lions DIDNT have a running game and their offense tosses the ball across the field - that means Stafford is better? Whatever man.

Put Stafford in NY and Eli in Det and we'll see how they produce

There's a lot on the line above it, too.

If he spends the rest of his years going one and done in the playoffs, or missing the postseason altogether, he'll face an uphill battle to get in, even with 2 SuperBowl rings. And for the most of Eli's career, that's what has happened to the Giants at the end of the season, with the exception of 2007 and 2011.

if Eli gets two rings and sticks in the 4k and 30 tds range of stats he will be in the playoffs.

Again, 09 and 10 wasn't on Eli and the offense at all. The fact hes never had a losing record will also be taken into account (if that stays true)

Because Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are quarterbacks of similar quality, so titles play the role of a tie-breaker of some sort when arguing who is better. Eli Manning's inferiority to Tom Brady is so latent, it's very hard to argue for him being better even if he ends up winning 6 SuperBowls.

Using this sort of inane logic, Trent Dilfer was the best QB in the NFL in 2000.

Detroit was three spots ahead of the Giants in rushing.

Also, the Giants were dead last. Probably doesn't mean much, though.

Manning has only had 30 or more TDs once in his career, and it wasn't this year...

You guys would have to throw in at least a couple of first round picks and another starter on defense for Eli and Stafford to switch teams.

Pretty much the same. If NY had faced NO instead of ATL they would be one and done as well. There's no way the Giants secondary would've stopped Brees and there's no way Eli would've kept up with Brees.

That wasn't really true until Brady started putting up the stats and getting the MVPs. Manning was still considered the best by most until 2007. Personally, I think they are pretty much on par with one another but Brady does have more hardware.

John Skelton had more of those than Eli. I take it he had a better season than Stafford too?

did Skelton also throw for nearly 5k and take his team to the superbowl too?

Doesn't matter. He argued Eli had a better season because he had more 4th quarter comebacks. That's ridiculous.

Also, Stafford threw for more than 5000 yards and 41 TDs at age 23. Care to remind us all what was Eli's production at 23? The reason the Lions were eliminated from SuperBowl contention had absolutely nothing to do with Stafford or the offense.
