Everyone in the league says Packers recieving core is the best in the league by far. But you, has a homer have to say it otherwise. Make up theories about the Peyton Manning factor or support them, but that doesn't make you right.

We have two really good recievers in Wes and Branch. They have Greg Jennings, Driver, Nelson, Jones and Cobb. Their 5th reciever would be our number 3.

They have a better WR core, but why does that matter when our 3rd WR never sees the field. They are a heavy WR offense, we use two TEs. I think the targets should be compared.

If the Packers had Hernandez, he would be on the field over Nelson/Jones.

The stats back it up.

Greg Jennings 35 530 15.1 49 4
Jermichael Finley 23 321 14.0 39 3
Jordy Nelson 20 413 20.7 93 4
James Jones 15 263 17.5 70 3
James Starks 15 113 7.5 16 0
Donald Driver 12 101 8.4 16 2
Randall Cobb 10 180 18.0 61 1

Wes Welker 51 785 15.4 99 6
Rob Gronkowski 29 401 13.8 30 5
Aaron Hernandez 27 289 10.7 30 3
Deion Branch 26 369 14.2 45 2
Chad Ochocinco 9 136 15.1 30 0
Danny Woodhead 8 63 7.9 13 0
BenJarvus Green-Ellis 4 38 9.5 13 0

The fact that Brady has to use Welker so much should tell you something. If we lose Wes, we lose half of our recieving core.

This. Obviously the packers wr corps is better but adding in our 2 t.e.s, we are pretty comparable to the packers.

But see no one ever used that argument against the Colts with Harrison or Wayne. I see the packers squad as the same situation as the 2004 Pats where Brady distributed the ball more evenly.

this is turning more into a "lets plump up our qb by degrading our offense" debate.

Face it, both brady and rodgers have a great offensive squad.

It's not turning into that at all. Jennings and Welker are both top 10 receivers. After that, it's the Packers wide receivers by a mile. That's just the reality of the two WR corps. After today, all 5 Packers receivers are in double digits for receptions.

Homers overrating the Patriots receivers and then being countered by more objective people ? "lets plump up our qb by degrading our offense".

The Patriots offense is a very good one. Green Bay has better wideouts. These are not mutually exclusive statements.

My argument wasn't even the Pats WR corps is better. In fact, the Pats WR corp isn't even good. (Welker, Branch, Ocho, Edelman, Price)

I was arguing targets, the reason this argument is so tricky because of the TEs. What NFL team has ever had a TE duo like the pats?

The only WR debate here is people think Branch is trash compared to Nelson/Jones while I think he is an equal. Branch has an edge in stats and teams double team him, if he sucked he wouldn't be double teamed.

I guess my question to you would be that in light of the stats provided by patsinthesnow, then why is it "not even close" or they're "better by a mile? I mean technically, if team A has one receiver with 100 receptions, and team B has 4 receivers with 12,, would you would take the group with 4 in double digits?

Welker is probably close to still leading the league in yards even though it's his bye

I agree with this, but the Patriots have better backs and tight ends I would say. Finley is a beast, but the Pats have two tight ends that start.

Bad Colts, BAD.

Quick turnover and 7-0 Saints.

This one's already over. Couldn't they have flexed this ****ing game.

And tomorrow night they have the Jacksonville Jaguars lmfaoooooooooooo. Pathetic

Are people really subjecting themselves to tonight's games. I hear a lot of prisons are not showing it tonight in fear of lawsuits of cruel and unusual punishment if they do.

Ten minutes til Dexter. If I am going to watch a bloodbath, at least make it entertaining.

I don't get Showtime, so it's Boardwalk Empire for me.

I think the first game that can be flexed is us vs the Colts.

On my DVR. Too many 9PM shows on Sunday. Watch Dexter live. I will watch The Walking Dead after that because I can fast forward through the commercials. Probably watch Boardwalk Empire tomorrow night.
