I guess they saw holes in his game that I didn't. I think he was a good player who generated consistent pressure and I don't understand this move.

If he were cut that would leave only Carter, Cunnigham and Ninkovich to play nickel/dime DE

I wish Eric Moore the best of luck.

He was a great story last year and far exceeded expectations.

I think he's too heavy/slow to back up Carter and too light/weak to back up Ellis and not as good of a sub rusher as Anderson.

I hope he catches on somewhere.

Might be an interesting PS prospect as he has good speed; although, I'd rather see Buddy Farnham get another shot on the PS-good solid player who might be able to play a reserve role someday.

IMO he was better than either JC and MA in the preseason.

Right. But as a pure pass rusher, Anderson had him beat, and that should be all Anderson is asked to do, if he even makes the roster. Moore never had a realistic chance of beating out Cunningham. It's a 30 year old journeyman against a 23 year old second round pick.

IMO he was better than either JC and MA in the preseason.

One can make a case for Anderson vs Moore, but there's no way a team is going to give up on guy who was drafted in the 2nd round the previous year and was a starter last year. The coaching staff is going to take more than four preseason games into account when making these decisions.

Kind of disappointed Underwood isn't PS eligible. I thought he looked ok out there and who wouldn't root for that flattop.

it's an interesting move that doesn't thrill me. I doubt he'll end up on the street for us to sign later-- someone would be smart to pick him up.

Agreed. Nice story. He just doesn't have the skills BB needs/wants right now.

With all the beef up front in the middle, IMO sideline to sideline speed is key for the DEs and OLBs. That just isn't Eric's game. Hes decent at PoT and gets a decent rush on but hes ave in pursuit and can't scream off the edge like the others.

For all of the hundreds of tries on this board, I don't think anybody's ever gotten the initial 53 right.

I didn't have either about a month and a half ago. Had to add Sanders back once Weddle was off the market. He would've been a great pickup for the Pats...

You'd think that they'd be happy that the 4-3 DE/3-4OLB situation was looking healthy enough to cut a guy who contributed a decent amount last year....but no....more whining and second guessing about the guys Belichick HAS decided to go with.
