CB Jonathan Wilhite among 11 players cut

I don't think Whilite deserved the bashing he got. He stepped in in 2008 and held his own. Sadly, it was all down hill from there. People want to praise Butler, but if he was cut we'd all be bashing him too.

Sanders is very much a surprise with the lack of depth at safety. This is the guy that had the INT verses Manning last year and BB tells him he is playing championship football. Maybe he just wasn't getting any better and had a substantial cap hit.

The Garrett Mills signing must of been a joke with BB huh?

Who's our new long snapper? Maybe Nicovich can handle duties and save a roster spot for a DL?

glad to see the team is picking Butler over Wilhite. It's still too early to give up on Butler.

I'd hold off on buying Butlers jersey.

No doubt. Outside of Chung, Bodden and McCourty nobody else's job in that secondary is safe.

I can't believe Sanders stuck on the roster for as long as he did. Never looked fluid, intimidating or athletically capable enough of making it as an every down player.

I'm struggling to recall a single positive memorable play from his career. I don't mean to sound like I'm kicking him when he down, but I honestly can't.

I thought McCourty made that pick, guess I was wrong.

Regardless, I'm not going to feel down about this for a second. Sanders was adequate depth. Nothing more, nothing less.

It is far too early to give up on XX until he is cut. The second he is cut, however, I have no idea how he stuck to the team for that long.

Huh??? Arrington is a liability in coverage??? I think you have your CBs mixed up. Arrington was excellent in coverage last year. That's how he was able to hold on to the #2 spot despite Butler and Wilhite behind him.

I second that; Arrington is solid in coverage; not spectacular but solid. He does not let the receiver get behind him; I don't remember many big plays against him. And he hits like a ton of bricks...
