resign Mankins-need to protect brady and he is a mauler in the run game.

#17(via Oakland) Cameron Heyward, Ohio State. DE-had a fantastic bowl game. nice injection of speed and the ability to collapse the pocket. 2011 DL Warren-Wilfork-Heyward. Had 10 TFL, 6.5 sacks for the Rose Bowl champs … second team all-Big Ten … Lombardi Award nominee …

#28-Ryan Kerrigan - Purdue-nice size. BB likes drafting seniors. long arms nice pursuit to the ball.

#33-(via Carolina)-Julio Jones-WR-Alabama-great route running ability, makes the tough catch...played in the SEC. National Champion-know how to win.

thoughts, criticism all appreciated

Your first two make perfect sense. But you're dreaming with Julio Jones. He'll be long gone by #33.

EDIT: By far the most important thing this off season is re-sign Mankins and bring in an adequate back up for Brady, who totally sucked in the playoffs against the Jets.

Re-sign: G- Logan Mankins,G- Carl Nicks, WR- Steve Smith (giants)

you are better off switching Kerrigan and Heyward though and I doubt Jones makes it past Baltimore. FS is another position to possibly look at.

Resign Jarrad Page for S depth

Draft:

1st Rd (Pick 1): DE

1st Rd (Pick 2): BPA (Of OLB, OT, C, or G)

2nd Rd (Pick 1): G/C

2nd Rd (Pick 2): RB

3rd Rd (Pick 1): OLB

3rd Rd (Pick 2): OT

Rds 4-7: BPA of DE, OLB, CB, and WR

FA

Sign John Kuhn (Short yardage back, FB, and special teamer)
Attempt to sign Nnamdi Asomugha

I wouldn't mind moving up in the draft if possible or using picks as trade bait. It seems like the team went from very old to very young overnight. Not sure if another huge influx of youth is the best decision.

I've been giving a lot of thought to the point you raise here........

I think using a couple of picks for proven players makes very sound sense. But those first 3 (17,28,33) should go to what becomes the core of a team in 2 to 3 years....namely DE/OLB beast, C/G beast

Love to get a proven RB and WR via trade and/or picks.....
