You've got to be kidding me. Defenders are programmed to make interceptions. He did the right thing. Who knows what could possibly happen on 4th and long for the Jets, such as roughing the punter or a fake or something like that.

The Browns were morons because once they had it on their own 3, they should have been happy with the tie. Anything else is too risky with a rookie QB. They should have run the ball 3 times, which would have ended the game.

The Jets are a 4-5 team (@Den, @Det, @Cle) masquerading as a 7-2 team.

Not really, they need some credit for making the plays.
I think they deserved to beat the Lions, although the Peterson no brainer helped a lot. Denver was over if the db just fell down or ran away, and the Stuckey fumble was horrendous.

Yeah, I'm sure that was what he was thinking there. He wasn't doing that which comes most naturally to defenders. He was thinking "I'm going to pad my stats!"

Deserved to beat the Lions? Had the kitties coach not thrown (inc) on 4th down and run it instead the Jets would not have had the 30+ seconds that won them the game

It's unwise to worry about tie breakers when they still have a game left against each other (not to mention when there are still 8 games left in the season). If the Jets win that game, then they own the tiebreaker pure and simple. If the Patriots win it, then every single stat you just referenced above becomes a tie.

We control our own destiny for the #1 seed, but it would be nice if we could get some help. Sucks when you're stuck rooting for the Lions and Browns.

I know, but they did make a lot of plays to get back in the game, and their run D was the reason the Lions threw, so they deserve some credit for that.
I mean, hey, arguing they should be on a 4 game losing streak sounds way to homerific.
