Has Brady made any comments about the Moss trade?

I think it's safe to say that if or when he does, there will be at least a half dozen threads and several hundred comments dissecting each and every word for hidden meaning, as well as lengthy dissertations on his body language, eye movement, and other tell-tale signs that will give us undeniable clues as to what he was really thinking.



In other words, no, you did not miss a comment from Brady amongst the rest of today's noise.

Given the enigma Moss has been this year, he may not realize it but he should probably say thank you.
I cannot imagine the torture in decision making of having a guy who is capable of doing what Brady has seen Moss do here, and have to question whether he will go hard after the ball.
Moss was open when he wasn't open in the past (maybe in the future too) because he went and got the ball. The right decision in 2007 is an Int now when it was a TD then, at least some of the time.
I am happy that Brady doesnt have to look at Moss running even with a defender and decide to throw it and get a TD like in the past, or get an Int because Moss lamed it like against the Jets. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

He won't say a word, but I'd be surprised if he is upset at all since according to Miami Dolphins radio reporters in the Patriots locker room after the game, players everywhere were high fiving each other after the big win but Moss sat there in sone cold silence, not talking to anyone including Brady, who was dressing at the locker right next to him and congratulating other players.

So it seems like Brady and Moss were not on speaking terms after the game. Perhaps Moss was not on speaking terms with ANY teammates after the game. A game in which the players and coaches were showing the most joy we have seen in years over the big win.

This was reported on 560 WQAM (Dolphins flagship radio station) on the Sid Rosenberg show at about 5 PM.

If Moss had asked for a trade you can bet that TFB was in the know, both from Randy and the Pats.

Note that after the exchange you described Brady in his post game press conf when asked about his 100 win mark enthused about the team, the org and the coach saying "I'd like to be here forever." Seemed as happy as I'd ever seen him.

Maybe Brady will never admit it even to himself but I believe that the tension surrounding his teamate and friend was affecting his play. Attempting to keep his buddy engaged and happy possibly made him make some throwing decisions he'd like back. I think BB sensed this and made the move before The Franchise became a bit disfunctional.

Given Brady's stature and his relationships with Bill and ownership, I'm sure he was aware there was a possible deal in the works on Monday before they kicked off. The game plan in hindsight kinda signaled the intent to move on. As the guys on WEEI opined this afternoon, there is no way Brady could not have held off the move had he really wanted to. That maniac reaction when he was pulled for the last snap is starting to make more sense. The NEP as an organization are going back to their roots. Team first, situational football, complimentary football, unselfish football. No goal or agenda beyond winning one game at a time. And no excuses. Tom's favorite receiver is the open one and it matters not how we score as long as we do. You are either all in or you're out.

I saw that too and I thought it was worth more than a thousand words. It was a direct contradiction of him leading the locker room rah-rah stuff.

In other words a completely unpredictable individual.

I think Brady had to struggle with whether throwng to Moss was the best thing to do for the sake of the team as well.
I go back to the long Int vs the Jets.
When Brady decides to make the throw, Moss is even with Cromartie while Cromarties hips are still turned. That is an automatic TD if the throw is on line in 07-09, absolutley no doubt.
But what happens? Cronmartie actually gains on Moss while completing the hip turn ,and contiues to out-accelerate him and beat him to the ball by 2 easy steps.
I have watched Moss for 3+ years and no one could ever beat him to that ball.
Later Brady throws back shoulder and Moss lazies it into trying a one handed catch and tips it into an Int.
2 excellent decisions by Brady...if Moss was Moss...that looked like Brady didnt have a clue.
It has to be almost impossible to accept Moss is loafing after the relationship they had, so Brady is stuck in the middle. It used to be smart to throw to Moss, but will he screw me again by loafing? And it is exacerbated by the fact that you are taking away from the strategy of our offense by chucking it up.
I will be very happy to see Brady use the entire field, but more importantly make the throw that fits the down and distance rather than abandon that philosophy because you have a horse on the outside who can beat any db.

I agree. There were several INTs over the past few seasons that have looked like Moss just gave up on a route or didn't bother breaking it up. In 2007, Brady would throw the ball up for Moss and trust that if he couldn't get to it, he'd at least break up the INT, but that hasn't happened over the past few seasons. And Tom would never call him out for it, but it had to piss him off sometimes.
