As you all know, tomorrow is the big first day of the 2010 NFL Draft. We have all dissected a ton of prospects ad nauesum, from potential first round picks, to the mid rounders, to late round hopefuls, and even priority UDFAs. With that in mind what is your mindframe for this year's draft?

Are you excited and stoked? Are you nervously expectant? Or are you fearful that BB will once again 'let down' the expectations of the fans and draft in his usual inscrutable and unpredictable way?

I think I'm a little of all the above, except that I have NO expectations for this year's draft. By that I mean that I can not even begin to predict how BB will wheel, deal, and select this year except I'm confident that we will see movement, either trading down, trading slightly up, or trading into future picks.

I do know that the Pats have a LOT of draft ammo this year in one of the 'deepest' drafts in years so that IS something to be excited about, even if you probably never even HEARD of some of the prospects that the Pats will be selecting this year.

Excited. Unless Dez Bryant falls, the first round will be a defensive prospect.

I am relaxed...no one player or players drafted is going to make a big difference for the Pats this season...these new guys this year are the future of the team in trying to get back to a SB contender level

See me in 2 or 3 years to see whether they are dissapointing or exciting

As long as we dont draft a Punter or Safety in the first or second round, its all good.....for now that is

Excited but also preparing myself for a mini-letdown. I get the feeling with the depth of the draft, that there could be a deal to trade down and out of the first round that's too good to pass up.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with the move depending on how much we get, but it would be rough to spend a few hours waiting for 22 to come up, then have them trade out and know they won't be picking again until the next day.

Very relaxed as there is confidence in this franchise, somewhat excited about who they will pick.. but expect at least one WTF were they thinking moment.

PREDICTION THAT IS GUARANTEED: There will be one or two "WTF,Who the hell is he?" picks in this draft, its an annual event here

Relaxed ive been doing this since 1978, besides you never know whats going to happen with a BB draft. Tomorrow night i'll start to get excited. What has always been my favorite part of the draft is just after its over, reading about the picks and they're potential. In the old days it seemed every pick was going to be an All Pro, not any more.

For sure... let's just hope it's another Vollmer.

And how would you feel about the Pats passing on Dez Bryant? [Which they very well could.]

I wouldn't be mad as long as we drafted a top CB or Brandon Graham. Moss-Edelman-Holt is a great trio opening day.

i guess i'd describe myself as "interested and curious" but I can't work up excitement or anxiety...clearly, i want us to pick wisely so the team is stronger in a year or two, but i don't expect we're going to see a big difference for a while.

I'm all of the above
I've been thinking about April 22 since Decemberish

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because it's the draft and we'll be adding some new, (hopefully) hungry faces into the line-up and because it means that football is soon approaching. I'm nervous because the Pats really need to have a big time draft this year with the positions on both offense and defense that need to be filled in order to improve over 2009 and win what should be a tougher, more competitive division in 2010.

I agree that ANYTHING could happen.

I would not be surprised to see them trade up into the top 15.

I would also not be shocked to see them trade back out of #22 for a #2 and #3, then trade 2, 2nds into 2, 1st's next year.
That would give us 2, 2nd's, a 3rd and a 4th in the sweet spot of a historically deep draft (both of those seconds could be 1st rd value) and give us 4, 1st rd picks in 2010. BB is smart and he knows that due to the CBA situation.. a) This draft is deep enough to give you starters in just about every round, and give you 1st rd value through possibly the 3rd round... and b) conversely, next years draft will be relatively shallow after the 1st round. Having an unprecedented 4, 1st's will make sure he gets talent.... and c) there will almost certainly be a rookie cap which will make it possible to make all of those picks.

Is it likely? Probably not. Is it possible? Definately.

I would sh!t myself out of joy if this happened and would try hard to make it happen if I was BB.

I think we could definately get a good combo of DE, OLB, WR, TE (feel free to sub in DB, RB if you'd like) talent with 2, #2's, a #3 and a #4 this year.

Again, this is a pipe dream that I see as possible. Flame away if you need to :bricks:

Excited is the only way to feel PRIOR to the draft! Nervous and fearful come later...

I voted for "other" as I am excited that it will finally be here. I'm almost convicned that the Pats will not make a pick before Friday Night (which is going to be the Real drama). I can forsee a trade down or two. If the Pats somehow come out of Thrusday with a C.J. Spiller or Rolando McClain, or Sergio Kimble, then I would be excited, HOWEVER, I still belive that Thrusday night will be a giant "no-go" as far as the Patriots are concerned.

I'm interested, not excited. I've learned to temper my expectations via BB's tendency to trade down and the lack of star power from our recent first-round selections.

I think I'm more anxious than anything, tomorrow is going to be a LONG day waiting for 7:30pm...and even longer waiting for the Pats first pick (or trade). We won't see their pick till what? About 10:00pm?

IF they stay there and don't move up...you never know, thats why as a Pats fan its never wise to just guess on what time they will draft and tune in then, you may miss something.
