Moore or Kruger next

No reason to take Moore. Just like there is no reason to take Sean Smith, though I'd love for them to do so.

I want Beatty or Duke Robinson next. Light's contract is coming up, as is Mankins. We could upgrade at RG & RT.

:singing:It could always be worse, we could be cowboys fans who dont have a pink in the first two rounds but have an a** load of day 2 picks.

I liked the way the Pats packaged late round picks to move up in the 2nd

round. Those picks would probably have not made the team.

i wonder what they saw(or didn't see in the LBs of this draft) they had a chance to get any LB they wanted with the exception Cushion and Curry, everyne was well within reach for them. I am not upset I just wonder what was it that caused them to pass on every LB out there

Jesus , you think everyone will just pass for the rest of the draft.

Idiot fan boy.

Shut up tough guy talkin smack on forums that's just sad. Pass rush is a need and I'm just wondering why it hasn't been addressed cool guy.

What's so bad about our draft so far? NT's don't come around everyday and if Chung lives up to what everyone said about him then he's possibly a Rodney project.

Plus we've still got picks. :confused2:

There's nothing wrong with the picks except for ruining the expectations of some fans.

If we were to enter the draft with open minds KNOWING that BB may have a different list of needs than us fans, than we could avoid disappointment. And if we were to realize that BB values players differently than some posters, we would find it easier to accept his picks.

I'm ecstatic over the three picks so far, that I'm at a loss for words. 3 picks in Gosselin's first 58 is impressive -- with more to follow...

hey can someone clarify for me the trades we made and the value we recieved from them or gave up. i found it hard to keep track.

on a side note tho i did find it extremely suprising that we didn't take one or two of rey rey or ev brown. i will admit they were 2 of my favourite players but from all acounts butler is a good footballer.

Jarron Gilbert?
Cody Brown?
Paul Kruger?
Jamon Meredith?

Phillips, Brinkley, Kruger and Sidbury are very good sleepers to fill in at LB. I will be ok with any one of these guys. What about the UCONN tackle? Is he still available?

I'd say there are two possible reasons: 1) they have more confidence in Woods than the average message board user, or 2) they expect Jason Taylor to be on board at some point.

Personally, English was the only guy I liked more than Woods. I was underwhelmed by the rest.

How do you know it hasn't been addressed? How do you know that the Patriots don't have Crable or Woods pegged opposite Thomas. Or that they have a deal with Jason Taylor done.

The Pass Rush needs to be addressed by more than just adding an OLB. Go back and do your homework on 2003 and 2004 and figure out where the Pass rush came from. Then come back and talk garbage yourself.

Finally, some sense. Those players are options -- and always have been. It's o.k. to have favorite players...but the draft forum was :deadhorse:
over Barwin for months.

Let's see what happens on day two, as we may still address the DE/OLB position.
I had planned to take my forthcoming abuse with some effort at humor and gracious acceptance...your whine in this post is not encouraging to that thought process.

Don't forget Henry Melton on your list.

As far as Barwin goes, if he was going to start here I figured he'd start as a TE. Also, it takes LB's awhile to really get the system BB runs; even Mayo said he's still figuring it all out.

What makes some of you people think all the draftees are going to start anyway? It's not as if they're going to step right in,take someone's place, and contribute bigtime It's the NFL now.

I like the Chung and Butler pick ups. I do not know enough about Brace to have an opinion on him. Solid job from the looks of things.

Pash rush was the biggest need, and still is I no we have plenty picks but nobodies left lol.

You are right we have not addressed our ANEMIC pass rush.....this draft is typical Pats draft......no excitement and no surprises.......I know very little about Chung......BC guy........ok..........all is typical........But as you say...Pats pash rush DEFICITS have not improved.......and as we all know, hard to win a SB without getting SOME pass rush on the opposing O.........

I'd love to see them draft James Casey from Rice. He'd be a great weapon to have for the offense...
